Actually a loss at the end of the year or late in the sec tournament might not be a bad thing. Helps refocus everyone. The worse thing would be for us to roll into the tourney on a long winning streak. This team is good enough not to have many loses to begin with. So losing late might actually help us win it allThose last 7 games are brutal.
I mean, yeah, we’re probably going to lose a couple. Nevertheless, that’s a hell of a team we have this year and they know how to win. So who knows?Hope so. I'd be thrilled with a 4-3 finish, though I know that will bring out the boo-bird casual fans who will start to question Barnes, the team, and generate the "peaking" question, once again.
This coach isn't allowing anything to fizzle out. He gonna have these players waking up in the morning drinking that Orange juice!Just remember one of Jerry Green's team getting off to a blazing start only too fizzle late in season and tourney. Obviously comparing apples to oranges with each team's coaching and chemistry.
I believe Grant was never completely healthy last year. He is, this year. Now as long as Bone stays healthy, Vols are fine. Bone has the intelligence, speed, leadership and total control of the offense and can probably play 33 minutes a game, running "Sh!t"I’m concerned about the minutes that Bone and Grant are playing. No question Grant got gassed at the end of the year.

The loss of focus in the Arkansas game is a good sign they haven't peaked. You don't really want a consistent 40 minutes of focus until the last 6 games in March.JMO There are still things to improve on (rebounding, perimeter defense, ball security) and I think Barnes will get that point across.

Are you guys talking about the 98' team? I think the year they beat UConn in the tourney? Whatever year it was. That team was really talented. A lot of thugs though. If they had the chemistry this current team had they would have been a legit contenderGood observation. That team had so many factors that attributed to a very rocky environment. Everyone was pulling in different directions, and I was not surprised to see them fall apart at the seams. It is obviously unrealistic to think that this year's team will go through the rest of this season unbruised. There are always rough periods, but Barnes sees the whole picture, and they will work to get better. Enjoy the journey.
