Anarchy In Portland

I thought the ACLU was behind requiring all cops to have body camera. If all were forced to live stream wouldn't we have been able to prevent George Floyd's death? They can't be flip- flopping, I won't know when to be incensed.
I thought in public you can be filmed. No expectation of privacy. I'm sure this is wrong somehow. Cue someone correcting me.

Well, you see, Oregon law dictates that...

Hell, I don't know, it's a temporary restraining order, I'm guessing until an argument can be made one way or another by the plaintiff and defendant.

I'm guessing the ACLU is arguing that "surveillance" is a presumption of a criminal activity, but according to the order, as long as there is a subject suspected of criminal activity it doesn't matter who else is being filmed or recorded.
It's obvious why one side wants the livestreams shut down. They can't control the narrative. And individuals don't want people to know who is committing criminal acts.

They've been targeting individuals who livestream what they're doing also.

Can't say I know the rationale, but it's usually the police that get testy with people recording them. At least in that case I would say the reason is.obvious.

Cool! I needed a good laugh this morning.

A different sort of anarchist. Or maybe a street dance group from the 80's.
It's hard to know what it is. I'm not going to try to research it because, if it is real, I don't want to be visiting their sites. What I do see on several popular gun reviewers' videos suggests that the who thing was a joke/meme that the media decided to report as a real thing which in turn led to a few people showing up places to mug for the camera with Hawaiian shirts and ARs. Did it exist in IRL before the media went hysterical over it? If it is real, what is it? Libertarians? Right wing militia? Who knows?

I recall something about the FBI intervening with some plot or something. Hoax or not, I couldn't tell for sure without some digging.

There has been at least one instance of seemingly random people attempting to blame shift responsibility to BLM or "black people" after being fingered for some "fire bombing".

I'll look that stuff up later. Doing lunch, and I hate googling in my phone

This was yesterday, so too early to say the agitator has moved on, but you might be right.

She should have been fired awhile ago. If anyone can defend the state politicians behavior in Portland over the last month then you are either dumber than a bag of hammers or are an antifa sympathizer.

Makes sense. The big boys showed up, displayed a little actual toughness and now everyone is scared. Their moms probably told them they better act right or else.
You and the guy who says they tried to burn down the courthouse with the feds inside need to get on the same page.

Thatโ€™s a good thing . State and locals being able to do their jobs , the protestors policing their own . Works out for everyone .

It's an intentional "lull" in an attempt to make a point. Feds bad.

How many days of rioting in Portland before the Feds showed up? And then...go figure...it intensified once they did.

Give it a few days. When the Portland crowd sees their face fall off the front page of the "Er-Mah-Gawd Enquirer", things will pick right back up again.

And this part is going to be very entertaining to watch.
