I will add that I have been building a project in downtown Columbia SC for the last month plus...commuting everyday from Charlotte. Columbia is the most run down, ghetto, POS excuse for a capital city that exists in the US. I have been to about 40 out of 50 of the United States, and been to the capitol of nearly all of them. Without a doubt Columbia is the most senselessly placed, run down, empty, ghetto filled crap hole that anyone has the nerve to call the head of their state. You could not double or triple my salary to live there. The campus of "Soukerlina" as they call it is exactly what you think it would be in such a sorry excuse for a city. I feel sorry for the kids who get stuck there for a few years.
The whole state of SC is pretty much garbage other than the nicest areas at the coast, and the northwest corner where it is undeveloped mountains. The roads, education, standard of living, income per capita, pretty much every single metric lags far behind even the completely average state of NC which I have been stuck in by marriage and kids for almost 30 years as a displaced Tennessean. The only positive I can honestly say about the entire state or university is that when we went to 2 road games at the tiny Williams Brice Stadium in our special 98 run and 2 years later, the fans were nice despite us destroying them each game and I didnt have to punch anyone in the mouth either time. I cannot knock their southern hospitality in that regard.
GO VOLS. Please keep Rattler on his back or running for his life so he cannot pick us apart. He is a very accurate QB with a quick release sadly.
