Things I tell my son...
If you have something to lose, you can’t afford to fight with losers. Also...do as I say not as I do.
Seriously. I mean, I have no idea what happened but pick one of these based on which is more likely:
1) Pro athlete with absurd wealth goes to Vegas and picks fight at prominent casino
2) Person without absurd wealth goes to Vegas and basically says "please swing back so I can name you in my eventual civil suit, which you'll settle just to make it go away"

AK may wind up being at fault, may wind up being not at fault. He's probably going to wind up paying something either way.

This is an ignorant take. 🙄 He obviously has friends there. I'm sure if we were playing for a NC, he'd be on our sideline...
I remember when some of you RF guys were out of sorts with me for calling Pruitt a gump. I just hate Alabama. Everything they touch is tainted. I'm older, I think it's a generational thing.

Going to make an assumption that two dudes got chippy and one got whooped pretty well. Any other Joe and it probably ended there. This dude gets whooped by AK (or maybe let him, who knows) and now sees it as a payday. Would not be surprised if there is a cash payment and charges get dropped.....

These guys have to be careful. So many want what they have and will, in some cases, do anything to get it.

Sick world....

Not an attorney but I'm not sure when it rises to a felony if the victim can decline to press charges.

They can not cooperate, I'm sure, but if a fancy club like that doesn't have video everywhere I'll be surprised. Then again, if he just broke the guy's eye socket, left a few stitches, or whatever the Vegas cops may be "pay the man and we're done" but if he's on video kicking him or really pummeling him after he already got him out of his face, that's probably not going to be ignored.

Meh. I was able to navigate hookers, cocaine, and drunk people without an issue at multiple casinos and strip clubs in Vegas in my 20's while being Gary Busey crazy drunk the whole time. If I could do it, anyone can.

Thank your lucky stars you never ran into Paul Bain.

I read this as Zach speaking from “Between Two Ferns”. If you’ve never heard of it, YouTube it. It’s Zach’s best work since The Hangover. It’s basically a series of short interviews with celebrities. He grills them and insults them at the same. It’s hilarious.

It is battery, not assault.

I’m not sure about other jurisdictions, but here in Nevada assault is NOT physical touching, hitting, or striking etc. Its simply the credible threat of doing so. Battery is the physical act of touching, hitting or striking etc.

That is correct. Assault is the threat, battery is the action.
The media release by the LVPD also indicates Battery Resulting in Substantial Bodily Harm, not assault.

Many here will recall Charles Barkley once threw a guy through a window after the guy assaulted Barkley's girlfriend in a bar. I believe it cost Barkley some money in civil court but he avoided jail and lasting damage to his career. Kamara seems like a good guy, I hope it works out for him.

Standards are supposed to be much higher now. We'll see.

Maybe he's a human being with flaws, just like all of us, "unfortunately" for Him, he's in a position to be exposed more readily than the rest of us.

I hope Kamara is not at fault but I have read police report that was made public. Kamara lied to police when telling his side of the story. Not sure Kamara started it but sounds like someone in his group did. They have video so we will see.
Some people on here saying don’t rush to judgement on Kamara and other saying had to be guy in hospital who started it because why would Kamara start a fight. Interesting how most people defending Kamara just because he played football at UT.

I'm going to hold judgement until more details come out. There are people in life looking for a payday. Did that happen here? No idea. But I will say, at this point, it doesn't sound good that once dude hit the ground, Kamara and "three friends" started kicking him. Is this an accurate depiction of what happened, again, I don't know. This is the article I read.
