All things STOCKS

When you decide to go there, do you usually short sell on a limit or market?

I'm trying to improve my shorting game.
Ehhh it kind of depends. I’ll usually just jump on whenever the market seems like it’s going to be a red day. Bad news cycles, things like that. I’ll go in somewhat large and then hop out after a percent or two.

I'm giving it a try. The market approach seems to work better. Missed a couple opportunities trying to get a limit. You try to short sell 400 shares, and Fidelity will give you like 68.

Not shorting Apple. Looking for companies that have unusually large daily swings. Lower volume type stocks.

And it’s up 10% in the pre-market. Simply by replacing the far leftist activist CEO. Who would have thunk getting back to running a company as a business instead of pushing a political agenda would benefit shareholders? Shocking.
Have to read the room better. Strong move by DIS to get away from agendas and that didn't work out.

Several layers to this move. The woke guy generated negative headlines. Perhaps more importantly, he oversaw a surprising earning miss a couple of weeks ago. In extremely broad terms. that guy was leading them down the wrong path.

Have to admire Disney for the quick action. And, pulling off the return of a familiar hero.

And Iger is a slightly left leaning moderate. The political leanings of public company leadership shouldn’t be part of their management philosophy. As long as they are no where close to having communist or socialist beliefs. Like MJ said something like republicans also buy Nikes.

The DIS pop is back to around +5%. I might buy a few shares if it gives about half of that back this week.
