All things Muschamp (merged)

Muschamp issued a statment through a Texas spokesperson that he is staying. The man wants to be the HC there. He's got more patience than a lot of other coaches.

WVLT just threw out Lovie Smith's name. I doubt he's really an option(why leave the NFL), but thought I'd mention it.

He didn't say he wasn't taking the job.He didn't even admit to talking with us. He said he's happy and plans on staying there. That's honestly coach speak for "anything is possible." If he said I talked with TN and told them no. That means no. But ... he didn't say that.

exactly. i think we'll find out more tomorrow

Muschamp isn't retarded. He had 2 choices:

Stay with the Texas Job:
- Play in the Big 12 South
- Only Challenging Game: Oklahoma
- Guaranteed 11-1 or 12-0 Season -> NC or BCS Bowl Game

Go with Tennessee:
- Play in the SEC
- Have to compete with Florida, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Auburn just to get to the SEC Championship game.
- Above = Probably Impossible, Say Hello to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

Easy Choice. If you want to have a pretty straightforward and successful college career, Texas is your dream job. Tennessee is going to take a while to build, and even when it's back, it'll be challenging.

Uh...we have to compete with Florida, Georgia, SC, Vandy and KY to get to the SECC.

This is not 'confirmed.'

If we're doing two threads, one for 'Muschamp No' and one for 'Muschamp Yes' could we call them both 'rumors'?

Moreover, if Bob Stoops if 50-50, why on God's green earth are we talking to Will Muschamp?

AMEN Brother!!!!:bow2::bow2::bow2::bow2:

channel 2 says no but fox news says nothing official yet...tweets say no, tweets say yes...this is nuts.
