All things Muschamp (merged)

Hi folks. You, like every school with a head coaching vacancy in the past 2 years, is very excited about the possibility about bringing the infamous Coach Boom to your campus. I applaud you for your enthusiasm, but it is misplaced. You can offer him whatever you want, but there are two things that you can't match: a) our dough and b)Austin.

Now, I know that with your new TV deal with ESPN that SEC schools have bounties they have never had before. That's irrelevant compared to our revenue. It really is. Number one in NCAA, and second place really isn't even close.

I'm sure that Knoxville is great, I have nothing against your city. I've never been there, and I do wish to see a football game in your fine stadium one day. But the fact of the matter is, the person that really controls what's going to happen, Mrs. Coach Boom, wants to build a life in Austin. Sorry, she fell in love with the city, she's tired of hopping around the country, and she's staying put. She's told the Mr. so much. I believe the exact quote is something to the tune of, "you can go wherever you like, but me and the kids are staying in Austin."

Take it for what it's worth, but there really is no chance of Muschamp coaching here...unless Texas visits Knoxville sometime. Despite what any of the posters here say with their "inside knowledge", know this: it is on public record that the Mrs would be none too happy with ANY move, and we can match ANY amount that ANYone offers to coach.

Hey, no disrespect or anything (and I really don't want to sound rude), but please get off this board if you're going to come in here with some kind of "my city is better than Knoxville crap." This situation has most of us pretty angry right now, not because Douche Bag and his Band of Merry Scum-suckers skipped town, but the way that he did it . . . leaving us in a bad spot with national signing day right around the corner. Plus, all of his "talk" about being committed to our university.

I know you probably don't mean any harm, but coming on here and saying things like "(1) our dough and (2) Austin" is just g&dd&%ned stupid. No one on here gives a flying s%*t about Austin or Texas or the stupid-a%$ cow that serves as your mascot.

I really respect Texas, and I like the state (been stationed there for a lot of my Army career), but have the sense and class to stay out of here with the "Austin is better than Knoxville" crap. Don't need it. Don't want it. You're from there, so I wouldn't expect you to say anything different. Just don't say it here.

P.S. You can keep Muschamp anyway. If he isn't 100% committed to coming, then he can stay right were he is. I would rather have a no-name with integrity and committment than another mercenary douche-bag (Muschamp isn't a douche, but you know what I'm saying).

Ok, so I got a little carried away with that one. I'm just pissed and I hate it when people from other teams come on here with that kind of stuff: "Man, southern California is so great" or "Austin is better than Knoxville." AHHHHHHHHHGHGH!!!

It'd be like me going on some Univ. of Texas board and saying: "Hi, folks! Just wanted to say that you are the latest school to lose in a championship game to an SEC team after having dominated your second-rate conference. I applaud your efforts, and you can try what you want, but you can't match two things - (1) SEC speed and (2) the depth of our conference top to bottom."

I don't think the Big 12 is second rate, and I think Texas is a great program, but this kind of crap just kills me. Stay the hell off our board with your garbage right now.

Man, my anger over Lame Kitten and Scum-Sucking Orgeron is really affecting my mood. I'd start drinking again, but it'd make thing worse.
