All things Muschamp (merged)

Said that Kippy took control and is doing a hell of a job for us. There are other insiders as well stating that the hold up on Muschamp is that he wants a 6 year contract, and Hammy is offering a 5 year contract.

GIVE HIM SIX!!!!-------with equal buy-outs on both sides.

How great would it be if the deal was done already and Hammy were waiting to "leak" it until around, oh 8pm EST....or about the time Lame takes the podium at USC being announced as the new HC there...!!!??? I would be a Hamilton fan for life then...!

I like how you think.

In the past 24 hours I’ve heard from sources saying:

a) Will Muschamp is Tennessee’s top choice

b) Muschamp has told Tennessee he would be interested for the right amount of money

c) Muschamp has told Tennessee he would not be interested under any circumstances.

In addition to what sources are telling me, ESPN.com’s Chris Low reported this afternoon that UT athletic director Mike Hamilton will be meeting with Muschamp tonight or tomorrow morning… prepared to offer up as much as $3 million per year contract.

At about the same time, however, Tom Dienhart of Yahoo! Sports was reporting that Muschamp had opted to stay in Austin and would NOT become the Vols’ next coach.

So take the following with a grain of salt, but I just got a call from another source.

According to this one, Mike Hamilton is indeed flying to Austin this evening… to “pick up” Muschamp.

According to the source, Muschamp has agreed to take the reins of the Volunteer program.

But wait, there’s supposedly more. In addition to Muschamp, this source claims that Georgia defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner will be tagging along as Muschamp’s defensive coordinator.

Garner was on Auburn’s staff in 1995 when Muschamp was a first-year graduate assistant.

This is more or less what my source close to Sexton is saying.

it's time.

i think if we dont here from him soon, then he's very much out

heck i'm not even optimistic if ESPN doesnt get wind before like tomorrow afternoon

Mine too...which is NOT close to Sexton.....the only exception is that my source did not know about the Garner part, or chose not to tell me....beats me...like I said before....the information so far is worthless until we see pearly whites on the tv.

Fire Hamilton and make Phil Fulmer the AD

Get Trooper Taylor or someone associated with Tennessee so this bunch of bull doesn't happen again.

Lane was a joke and a bunch of you need to reflect on how blind allegiance to an idiot is not such a bright idea.

Lane, I hope you get the NCAA wrath your whole 13 months there and I hope Layla meets a surfer and leaves you.

I heard Jon Muscowher has agreed to a 15yr deal, and will meet with the players shortly....

I'm just about over this fiasco. Hire Kippy and be done with it. I'm still working on the knife Kiffin left in the players and fans back.

That makes me sick to my stomach. CRG at DC.....ughh. I would love to have him on staff but not at DC.

You do realize that if Trooper came back to TN that would be his fourth location in as many years, right? Kinda flies in the face of your argument. This would make Trooper more of a whore than LK.

I don't care what Hamilton has to do just get Muschamp, retain as much of this recruiting class as we can, and get all this Kiffin crap behind us!
