In the past 24 hours Ive heard from sources saying:
a) Will Muschamp is Tennessees top choice
b) Muschamp has told Tennessee he would be interested for the right amount of money
c) Muschamp has told Tennessee he would not be interested under any circumstances.
In addition to what sources are telling me, ESPN.coms Chris Low reported this afternoon that UT athletic director Mike Hamilton will be meeting with Muschamp tonight or tomorrow morning prepared to offer up as much as $3 million per year contract.
At about the same time, however, Tom Dienhart of Yahoo! Sports was reporting that Muschamp had opted to stay in Austin and would NOT become the Vols next coach.
So take the following with a grain of salt, but I just got a call from another source.
According to this one, Mike Hamilton is indeed flying to Austin this evening to pick up Muschamp.
According to the source, Muschamp has agreed to take the reins of the Volunteer program.
But wait, theres supposedly more. In addition to Muschamp, this source claims that Georgia defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner will be tagging along as Muschamps defensive coordinator.
Garner was on Auburns staff in 1995 when Muschamp was a first-year graduate assistant.
This is more or less what my source close to Sexton is saying.

Fire Hamilton and make Phil Fulmer the AD
Get Trooper Taylor or someone associated with Tennessee so this bunch of bull doesn't happen again.
Lane was a joke and a bunch of you need to reflect on how blind allegiance to an idiot is not such a bright idea.
Lane, I hope you get the NCAA wrath your whole 13 months there and I hope Layla meets a surfer and leaves you.
