All the "Fire Butch" threads but no answer

There are plenty who are giddy as a school girl over the opportunity to say "see I told ya so".

I would rather see the Vols win than be proven correct to an internet stranger.

No, I think it is more like what he said... rather win and eat crow basically.

Also you have not thrown out any solutions to win championships or you do not care if we compete for them one or the other I guess?

I will throw out P.J. Fleck the coach at Western Michigan.

I think he will get next year, and I guess that is probably best for now unfortunately, but again you never stated your solution or if you do not care to win championships.

Nothing eould make me happier than Butch making me eat my words. I would beg his pardon for the rest of my life. I don't mind admitting i am wrong, especially when it is to my benefit...

...but flat out, the dude has proven he can't prepare his team for gameday.

I asked the question and have not gotten a serious answer.
And if you and others hate Jones cliches and slogans then you'd really hate Fleck.

No matter what anyone thinks of him. He isn't getting fired and we can't afford to hire a "Big named" coach right now.

That door doesn't swing both ways with some.

So OP think about something, was Herman "available"? Or did Texas just go out, do what they needed to do to get the coach they wanted? Its not about availability. Its about an administration deciding whats best for the football program and doing whatever it can to get the best personnel to achieve the best results.

For those who seem to think UT doesnt have the money or there is nobody better available just need to stop. There is plenty of money. This isnt Middle Tennessee State here. We are the university of Tennessee. Money isnt the issue. Butch has brought us back in a sense. He has rebuilt the roster and I believe Tennessee is once again an attractive position for the first time since Fulmer. So if the admin at UT really wanted to, I believe they could get a great replacement coach. Money talks people. Its simple as that.

LOL you know very little.

What coach hasn't had bad losses? Herman had 3 this year. Petrino just lost to Kentucky. Sumlin lost. Freeze lost. It appears people won't be happy with anybody.

It's not the losses. It's the consistent bad play from at least some segment of the team all season. And the defense (what defense?) has literally disappeared. They are either taught poor technique (can't cover, can't get off blocks, miss tackles) or are poorly motivated. Or they are not put in position to make plays. Bottom line is the D is past terrible and the offense, as good as it has been at times, hasn't made the plays that have to be made in all but two games since UGA. It all speaks to coaching.

No matter what anyone thinks of him. He isn't getting fired and we can't afford to hire a "Big named" coach right now.

Tennessee could afford it, if they wanted to play on the big boy side of the pool.

Till then we'll brag about our facilities and huge ass stadium, like that secondary stuff matters if you don't have a coach.

Butch is going NOWHERE....unless he leaves on his own...and I doubt that's going to happen. You people that assume he's going to be fired are delusional. Sorry it's not happening...not this year. So you have options..jump ship and jump on another team's bandwagon..or shut the hell up and continue to support these kids and this program that some of you "pretend" to be so loyal to. We loo nall want to win..hell I want to win every game period, so do these kids, and coaches. They work their a$$e$ off while you sit back and pass judgement as if you have ANYTHING to do with ANYTHING Vol related! We were absolutely decimated with injuries at the D tackle position the last 5 games. You're not going to stop ANYBODY in the SEC when you're forced to play 260-270 lb D ends across the line. I'm sorry but this is a line of scrimmage league period! No one wants to hear it..but you best believe it! Key injuries ABSOLUTELY had a ton to do with this season. You can yell next man up all you want...but there's a reason the 1st teamers are ahead of 2nd and 3rd stringers...usually a significant reason. ***** all you want people...it's not going to change a thing for now.

finally, someone with a decent amount of football knowledge and understanding

He has never lacked personal conviction I will give him that much.

It is interesting how the discussion has evolved to what it is now over the weeks.

1. Defend
2. Deflect
3. Divert
4. Make counter accusations

Rinse, repeat if necessary

First he has shown you Tn makes money and other poster proved it with point about all the millions of dollars being invested into the stadium!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second you still have not given your solution or if do you not care if compete for championships? (other than champions of life that is)

Also I and I would think others would not care about clichés and slogans if he just won... some would probably like them if he won.
