I hate this topic as an alumnus and a father of two daughters, but the only difference between now and 20+ years ago is the speed and availability of information. These things are happening and have been happening as long as I can remember at colleges across the country.

People need to understand and be aware that these things do happen. Both when the female involved is in the wrong and also the male. There are many incidents you could point to illustrating examples of both scenarios.

Bottom line, you control your own fate , you are responsible for your actions and the decisions you make can alter your's and/or your partners life forever.

It boils down to right and wrong, and the choices one makes.

It infuriates me that guys still do this and blame "college culture". Equally infuriating is the women that have used these situations as a tool for personal gain, thus devaluing the process for those women that have been abused. What gets lost most every time are the true victims, and that's the saddest part about all this.

Do you have the slightest idea how easy it is to get an indictment from a grand jury..seeing as how only the prosocution even presents?

Like I said, could make a phone call and have anyone on here charged with a crime... doesn't make it true.

All I am saying is AJ DESERVES the benefit, until such time as at least some actual evidence com ed s to light proving he did it.

Most people don't understand the legal system. You are one of those people. Grand jury means nothing. Case proceeds like every other case and absolutely no guilt is placed anywhere. It means that there is question about what happened and a jury gets to decide. The cases that bypass the grandjury process are a little more telling on evidence and possible guilt.

Excellent points; but, until CBJ takes a zero tolerance stand, these guys will never understand the bad consequences from that impulsive choice.

I look to the HC to sweep the biggest broom.

I've been on a grand jury before... It is not a trial in any stretch of the imagination. It is simply the police's side of the story, and explanations of why the evidence is being presented. We probably heard 10-15 cases maybe more, but only determined 1 case shouldn't go to trial.
I'm not assuming AJ will be found guilty during the trial. After reading most of the posts on these sexual assault threads. I think it will be almost impossible for him to get a fair trial, because preconceived bias concerning men, athletes, and rape in general.

Sorry but I have been arrested over women making false allegations.

I could go make a police report on any person in this forum and have them arrested today..does not make it true that they did anything, yet people's reputations are destroyed...just sayin

I agree with you. In America, he is innocent until CONVICTED. Some people seem to forget that here.

I think Butch has taken a zero tolerance. He dismissed or suspended three players this year. Now the Tennessean is going after UT over some thing else. The Vandy people hate UT and the Lady Vols are pissed so they are whining. Deal with these guys, teach the others a lesson and move on.

Make every last player, coach, trainer, etc...read and study the story of Joseph in the Old Testament and DO JUST WHAT HE DID!!!!!

Show me where CBJ tried to sweep anything under the rug. Johnson, Williams, and this unknown player were suspended from the team. An investigation cleared the unknown player. He was allowed to return to the team, as he should. Am I missing something?

This pisses me off so much. Why? Why would anyone in AJ's position even put themselves in that situation. He had a bright future playing on Sunday. Not only does it reflect badly on him, it also put UT in a bad light.

I know he has not been found guilty, this is just a horrible situation all around.
