A really good situation? The worst year in UT history and you think a coach with 0 hc experience is capable of getting this fixed. I'm sorry, I just don't see it.

Are people really comparing misbehavior between the two? Hope not because that would be pointless. Lane's rumored cheating scandals, and mouth do not compare to an action like covering up child rape.

The Bush thing was bogus and the secondary violations at UT were run of the mill stuff that happens everywhere. I don't care about his marriage, which he isn't in anymore. There's still an exceptionally wide gulf between Schiano's actions and anything Kiffin is said to have done.

This, and the fact that players loved Kiffin while Schiano was widely hated by players and his handling of Josh Freeman should be Exhibit A as to why he shouldn't be a HC again.

Don't let facts like there was no coach who could have done much at USC given what was going on there at the time. He also was 'fat man with 2 inch vertical blocking fg" away from beating Bama. He could bring in recruits and if you don't think he's a good coach then the real fact is that you are utterly clueless.

Who was the co-OC and recruiter of Reggie Bush?

He went 7-6 here. Yeah he beat UGA and SCAR. So did Butch. He lost to a bad UCLA team. AT HOME. He got run off the field by Houston Nutt and Gene Chizk.

He would be a desperation hire. There is a reason no other P5 schools are courting him.

Kiffin isn't coming back. Stop the non-sense. It's not going to happen. Im not saying it would be a totally bad choice considering all that has happened lately, but he is far from the best option at this point.

No comparison. Although both are unethical, one is a serious crime the other is not illegal.:hi:

He will be back at a P5 school by the 2019 season.

Kiffin is 100% not getting hired, so it's a moot point.

Ainge can quit all he wants, the money people will beat him to the punch. Kiffin is a non-starter for a large group of six and seven-figure annual donors.

I didn’t want Schiano and glad we dodged that bullet but there is no proof other than a 3rd hand account of him supposedly telling someone else he saw “something”. People are acting like he guarded the locker room door for Sandusky or even jumped in the shower with him.

I’m not going to get in a back and forth about what Schiano supposedly did or did not see. The only fact is none of us truly know. Now you could argue that you don’t want that cloud of uncertainty regarding such a horrific situation to be hanging over the program and I agree. Just don’t act like a the facts are rock solid when passing judgment.

The Joey Freshwater stuff did in fact happen though. And that was within the last 3 years not 25 years ago. Ultimately that shows poor judgement, recent poor judgement at that, and that is not a quality I want in my HC.

Well, that just goes to show that he's too stupid not to take a job where they were going on probation. Despite that get out of jail free excuse, he still managed to get fired.

Left at the airport by USC and then left at the stadium by Bama.

He's average. We already had that, have some self respect and deal with the fact that he's not coming.

You guys should be embarrassed for even condoning it.
