Ainge going off on Kiffin

The Bush thing was bogus and the secondary violations at UT were run of the mill stuff that happens everywhere. I don't care about his marriage, which he isn't in anymore. There's still an exceptionally wide gulf between Schiano's actions and anything Kiffin is said to have done.

This, and the fact that players loved Kiffin while Schiano was widely hated by players and his handling of Josh Freeman should be Exhibit A as to why he shouldn't be a HC again.

I'm saying Schiano hasn't been found guilty anywhere except the court of public opinion. I believe in innocent until proven guilty. Kiffin has been found guilty in divorce court and NCAA court. The Bush thing was not found to be bogus. He did have infractions here at TENN and you are correct, there is a wide gulf between hear say of Schiano and found guilty of Kiffin. Not saying no to Kiffin, just don't act like everybody does what he's done.

A few things I remember, vividly, Kiffin doing:
-NCAA Violations
-Embarrassing, at times, in front of a mic and on social media during his HC stint here
-Did kick the mess outta UGA, and turn JC into a decent QB
-Flashing/promoting USC highlights in our facilities

-Abrupt exit with little explanation

-Contacting recruits to try to sway them to USC
-Constantly trolling UT on social media

I can see why a former QB would have great disdain for him. I forgot just how much of a crap storm he put us in, and how he seemed to revel in rubbing our noses in it.

I'm out on Kiffin as well.

Say what you want about Kiffin but he can coach the crap out of the QB position. Can you imagine Kiffin coaching Dobbs?

Tee is not ready for a HC at a place like Tennessee.

Why do you think his only other option was S. Alabama.

Tee is ready for a HC to get in some OJT and learn the CEO side of the job at a smaller school before stepping into a hot mess like Tennessee right now. I'd hate to see him get the job, fail and become hated by the fans like all failing coaches do. Get some experience, do good and I'd love to see Tee be our coach in the future if he's a good one.

Well, that just goes to show that he's too stupid not to take a job where they were going on probation. Despite that get out of jail free excuse, he still managed to get fired.

Left at the airport by USC and then left at the stadium by Bama.

He's average. We already had that, have some self respect and deal with the fact that he's not coming.

You guys should be embarrassed for even condoning it.

Don’t you have some dogs to kick or homeless guys to piss on? You’ve got to be the most negative mofugger on VN. Jesus Christ man, give it a ****ing rest ..

good. we need to get rid of all these losers who don't have the ability to forgive.

I can forgive a guy, but still not want him as HC here. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Distrust of this guy is very warranted, given the number of things he did, and the laughs he had at our expense.

Forgiveness doesn't equal forgetfulness.

who said anything about forgetting?

I must've misinterpreted your post, and if I offended you I apologize.

I get pretty fired up when it comes to Kiffin, and believe strongly he's a large part of why we are in the shape we're in.

I just find it hard to believe we'd entertain this guy, knowing full well how he acted here and how he treated us after he left.

i don't give a damn about our traditions. they are in the past. all i care about is winning.

He's not any part of why we are in the shape we are in. He was a ****ing employee, management is why we are in the shape we are in.

I guess it's better the devil you know than the devil you don't know.

We all know what Kiffin is and what he brings to the table and that's better than some third rate FCS HC or a google hire from the MAC

Ainge also said that when kiffin was here he went to shake his hand and kiffin blew him off
He then said that Layla apologized for kiffin
I think he has a vendetta over a handshake

I agree with some of what you said, but if he didn't leave the way he did, we wouldn't have had to make another hire.

Look, I think we would've won big here with him.

I also think it's time for the blue bloods to go, and get someone with some love for UT and balls in as AD.

I just ain't gonna jump on the Lane Train again. :good!::eek:lol:

Kiffin's not even the best coach in C-USA.
