Right. Doesn't have anyhting to do with what you or I think, but the proof was in the pudding brother. He picked Milton over Hooker. And again, if Milton doesnt go down, we "MAY" not have gotten to see the better QB that JH looked over to begin with. Not speaking in absolutes, but theres no argument who the better QB ended up being. And Nico just flat out sucked at running this offense.
And that Pitt game was the first in game action for hooker in Heupel’s system. Neither QB had shown anything special at their previous schools. All he had to go by when deciding on the starting QB was what he saw in practice. From all reports, Milton was the better QB in fall camp. What exactly was he supposed to do? It still boggles my mind how people hold that against Heupel as if he somehow doesn’t know how to evaluate QBs.
Joe 100% had the fundamentals, the arm, etc. He certainly never had the football IQ for it. That was the big difference in those 2. In the NFL football smarts can’t cover up for lack of fundamentals. In college it can. Hooker certainly couldn’t throw it 70-80 yards, but he was much smarter on the field.
Actually they’re just countering your argument and opinion and you don’t like it. I see both sides. People perform different on different stages. Practice/games, etc.
