Advice for dealing with Striker

I've been saying the same thing. He could be a great special teams player, but I'm just not sure he can play d at the next level unless he can put on about 15 pounds.

I actually agree. A great college player but probably too much of a tweener to be more than a situational and special teams guy.

LOL. You can tell who watches football and who only watches Volunteer football.

You stop Striker by:

A. setting a RB/FB to block (most logical way)
B. Quick throwing out of a spread formation
C. or if all u do is run, then obviously that lleaves no room for sacks

Oh, we watch football, we just don't bother with the Big 12...or is it 9...or 10...or however many teams there are.

One thing OU fans have to realize is tbat your OLine has another year of experience under their belts, along with the backs you have. Any OU fan that tells you Tennessee isnt dangerous is full of it. Good things are ahead for UT and wish you all the best of luck. Our OLine is going to have to dig deep, get a push and know their assignments. The running game is huge for both teams and it will be interesting to see how both teams accomplish that goal. Anyhow, best of luck and destroy the SEC.

He manhandled Hurd in the backfield on a couple of occasions last year. We'll see how much stronger he really is. If Striker gets his hands on you, you're going down. He's a very aggressive and solid tackler. They were mouthing at each other last year, so I'm sure they'll be in each other's faces this week.

Hurd was like 18 at the tome. He played a full season and has gotten more mature, stronger and confident in what he's doing. Striker is good but comparing what he did the first game last year to now is just silly. . BTW why doesn't striker add more weight

meh. Not really that great. Sorry. I think it more an indictment of the Big 12 or whatever they are. Mediocrity rules there.

Cool thing about opinions is that we all have them. At least it was good enough to warrant a response from you, I'll take it.

Go Vols

Somebody please sticky this thread. It will make for great debate one way or the other after the game on Saturday.

Now this is a Sooner poster I can get behind, not this ignorant, juvenile bickering about Striker. Wish you guys well, just not this week:), and here's to both teams coming out healthy after the game, GO VOLS!!!

Thanks..... Now that I think a little more about it, it was a pretty cool dig at TU. ;)

Agree. That was my main point, kind of like the Oregon fans wore the we hate lane kiffen too shirts. Just saying I can't stand Texas just like they can't.

Go vols.

K St. Yes, they are one of the few teams who limited him last year.

He had two sacks against TCU and played the game of his life against Clemson. 12 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and beat the QB to a pulp. I think he was the only one who realized we had a game that day.
