UT has deep pockets and we obviously have money to blow. UT is a football school. And it does mean something. Winning is everything. And until were ranked and knocking heads at the top we are 2nd tier.Posted via VolNation Mobile
Disclaimer: I have no problem with Adidas, and I think the changes that Dooley mandated with the uniforms really put them over the top this year.
Disclaimer: I do not like every Nike Pro Combat uniform that they trot out.
Disclaimer: I do not think we should sign a contract where we don't have control over the way our uniforms are designed or sign a contract that does not benefit the university.
Now, all that being said, here's why I'm curious about our Adidas contract and when it ends. I know it's been discussed before, but I don't recall the date and can't find anything from a solid source.
If all three of our coaches stick for an extended period of time (which I expect all to do with Martin being the only concern) the negotiation of this contract could be Hart's first major decision at UT.
His last two stops have been Nike schools, so I wonder if he'll be inclined to give them a look first to see if they still view Tennessee as a 2nd tier program. I'm all for something different every now and again, but it needs to fit the Tennessee look and the AD needs to have control over the uniforms in my opinion.
Would love for DeerPark to weigh in on this one as he probably has a solid date for when the contract is up for negotiation.
Since your this idiotic, I decided not to read the rest of your post.Wait wait wait hold on just a sec. Please correct me if I am misunderstanding you (and I hope I am) but are you saying that in order to go with Nike, we should just go along with their opinion that we are a "second tier" program and ALLOW them to treat us worse than what Adidas does, JUST to have the swoosh on !

NOOOO, I said we are 2nd tier til we win though. 4th and 5th in the east ain't top notch buddy. Not to mention baseball, basketball. Academically also we may very well be 2nd tier. We are what? A 4-5 star school

Grammer errors, yes. Spelling errors, not unless my phone can't spell. Sorry I don't punctuate on a swype keyboard. But still UT is a 2nd tier program from what I've gathered and that's not me degrading the University. Get real man. You act like Adidas is doing it from the kindness of their heart and that UT needs Adidas when it would do just as good without them. Nike views us as 2nd because that's what we're labeled as. Adidas on the other hand is our business partner they are supposed to were number 1who are you to judge what kind of education UT offers then? You want to take stupid shots at UT feel free but you're going to get called out for it (especially when your posts are full of grammar/spelling errors).
Nike views UT as a lesser school than some others which is a fact. You seem to be ok with that but some of us are not and realize what Adidas does for our school. Take your Nike love somewhere else if it's going to have you insulting my school like you are
