No longer a candidate per Brent Hubbs. Took his name out of the running.

Pre answer
The problems at NC were prior to his arrival. Not related to him.
They do that and there will be a major outcry that they certainly don't want. I don't care if they have to draw names out of a hat, it better be Blackburn or Fulmer.
North Carolina AD lays out academic fraud defense: NCAA 'overcharged' Tar Heels
Revealing what seems to be North Carolina's defense in the case, Cunningham told CBS Sports, "Is this academic fraud? Yes, it is by a normal person's standards. But by the NCAA definition [it is not]."
"[I told the NCAA] if a class is on my transcript, I have a grade, I have a credit," Cunningham added. "How are you -- as the outside athletic agency -- telling me that's not good?"
Oh yeah...this guy seems like a stellar candidate...especially if you love forfeiting games, self-reporting NCAA violations on a quarterly basis, and giving up scholarships.
Do we know he's actually on the so-called short list? Even though issues may or may not have happened before him, guilt by association, questionable ways unc handled the investigation, black cloud lingering...
On second thought, he seems like perfect fit for our dysfunctional group.
Hoping the new chancellor brings some normalcy.
Yet...no show cause for Roy Williams, lost scholarships and they're chugging right along near the top of the rankings. Just in time for March Madness. Not exactly Mike Hamilton pushing Pearl off the bridge.
"Many at-risk student-athletes, particularly in the sports of football and men's basketball, used these courses for purposes of ensuring their continuing NCAA academic eligibility," the latest notice said.
With the second notice the NCAA removed men's basketball and football, and only hit women's basketball. As of the third notice, football and men's basketball are back in the NCAA's crosshairs.
