According to Da'Rick

None of us know a tenth of what is really going on but where there is smoke there is fire. If Dooley booted him, I'd be fine with it.

He is a player we need but at what point does he do more bad than good for this team? If he's gone the next man needs to step up. Go Vols

He's not on the practice field and Dooley said he will address it after practice.

IMO, Da'Rick will be suspended for conduct detrimental to the team. Knowing Dooley, he'll try and give Da'Rick every opportunity.

this is it. indefinite suspension to "complete some things".

lulz. Da'rick will be catchin Td's all year from bray. He may do wrong but he isnt a cancer to the team. All you hear are damn rumors. Personally, Idgaf what he does. It's his life..geeezus.

Da'Rick...my man. If you happen to be reading these boards, please listen up. For the love of Peter, Paul and Mary, get yo' head right and walk straight...just one more year. Just humble yourself...do what you are supposed to do...be where you are supposed to be, and this time next year all the media pundits will be talking about where you go in the 1st Rd of the NFL draft.

Please don't mess up a good thing. Without you, this offense won't be the same, and without UT, your college career (and subsequent draft status) won't be the same.
Janzen Jackson's fall should be enough of a reality check for you. He went from a sure thing 1st Rd NFL prospect to very late rounds at best. That's a huge difference cause it will take a few years (first contract) to reach the kind of salary you would otherwise be making.

Look at Arian Foster. Been among the leagues top RB's the past 2 years. He's been living on peanuts all this time and is only now looking at the kind of contract he deserves.

Stay the course and we are going to win the SEC East and help make you some bank. Anything else, and you are just throwing millions of $$$ out the window.

How many All SEC players do we have on our roster at any position? I believe just one.

It's an interesting dichotomy when folks decry the lack of talent on the team the last few years, yet those folks seem to be the first to proclaim "We don't need/want him!" when dealing with our legit All-SEC talent.:ermm:

This drama could have been taken care of a long time ago.

Jay, I agree.

Fans need to remember these players are still 18,19, and 20 year old kids. Every one of us have gone through some tough rebellious times. Sound like Dooley is giving him opportunity to get his act together. I DR takes advantage of it. The kid is a very talented WR that the team needs to be successful this fall.

Get your head in the game youngen, the team needs you!

The age discussion has to stop. I can guarantee you a vast majority of posters on here have never told a coach or boss "F*** You, I ain't doing sh**"

It's not longer an individual issue. It's a program issue. The good of the program is at stake.

Oh look another over dramatic Gator Fan coming to our rescue with all his awesome advice. Its 1 guy. He isnt going to bring down our program.

I pretty much agree with you. You have to have an objective process in place that balances the effort to bring someone in line and the need to deal with attitude issues that damage the program as a whole. You can't really afford to "play it by ear" or give "great" players alot more latitude than others.

I have no idea what DR has done or where he is in the process. I don't know if he's serious, pulling a tantrum, or yanking someone's chain.

However for all of the accusations that Dooley "throws players under the bus", he is been very hesitant to expose the nature of internal discipline issues. Those are things that can REALLY hurt a guy over the long haul.

Mo Couch tweeted: @darickrogers get ya head on straight. We goin to need you this year.

doesn't seem to worried

One player can bring down a program depending on what he's done and whether the perception develops that he's gotten away with something or that there's favoritism.

JJ got chances last fall. He failed and was gone before the first KO. That gives me a certain level of confidence that DR will get a reasonable chance but also has a point of no return.

I will agree that it is not an age issue. But I do not see it being a program issue. I see it being a DR issue. He clearly loves the spotlight, and is just going to be another talented athlete that will resort to nothing because of his ego.

I know that. NO PLAYER ever makes a program...........but one player can certainly ruin one.

Tebow may be the closest a program has ever come to being the one player that does make a program. Yes...his defense was stout, but judging by the way things fell apart without his influence...one might make a case. That is one in a million though.
