Think about how many coaches have actually won championships in football in the last 20 years. You will see it’s incredibly hard to win champioships.

All of these excuses every year dating back to the end of the Fulmer era. Sometimes it’s different excuses and sometimes it’s the same one; especially the “injuries”. Ever wonder why we haven’t won a NC since’98? It’s not “issues”, it’s excuses.

When you lose a CB projected as a 1st round pick and his back up, and the starting QB, and your 2 DT. I mean, that's a lot to overcome. Last year, we loss Pili, which was a hit to the defense because Telander was forced to play, or was that the year before.

I feel confident in 6 games (two cupcakes, @ GT, Auburn, @ Vandy, and Kentucky). Vandy just loses so much, and they're really not equipped to deal with that kind of turnover.

One nearly guaranteed loss @ A&M.

Two toss ups that lean towards a loss in Texas and Bama, but at least both are at home. I think Bama is more beatable.

And 3 toss ups that I lean towards a win with @ Arkansas, @ USCe, and LSU. LSU is more of a true toss up.

If we win the 3 of the 5 toss up games, I feel pretty good about the season. We'd probably be in a 16 team playoff if it expands. 8-4 would be a meh season. Anything less is not good.

Im trying to figure out why yall want to go to the playoffs and get embarrassed, because that is what is going to happen. Let's be real, we're not going to be good enough to be in the playoffs. A new QB and DC, when the defense left a lot to be desired. I do think this offense practicing against this defense philosophy which caused us problems will benefit the team.in 2027.

Not wanting to go to the playoffs because you might be embarrassed is loser talk. Far better than sitting on the couch at home in December or playing in the music city bowl again. You never know how things will go with matchups.

This isn't like the NFL or professional leagues where losing gets you a higher draft pick. The goal is always the playoffs, that's literally the only thing anyone is playing for.

Anything less than 15 will be a disappointment and CJH should be fired. He cannot recruit, he cannot coach players up, he cannot win games against ranked teams or even teams with winning records for that matter, he doesn't know how to use the portal properly, he cannot please the fanbase and he cannot retain players that are already on the roster. I think that about covers it.

It's not loser talk when you know the fanbase is going to go absolutely bat **** crazy when we lose. No one wants to see that. I want to see good football, not participation trophy football. You want to go to the playoff for a participation trophy? I thought participation trophies were "woke".

Unless something changes in the portal quickly, it could get ugly. No depth on the Dline. Players trying to learn new scheme. I hate to say it but it’s kinda feeling like a potential defensive version of the clawfense. Critical year for Heupel and it’s not looking pretty right now at least

I don't think getting to the postseason is a participation trophy. You have to be in the playoffs in order to win a game in the playoffs. Participation trophies would be the trophy you get from a bowl game. You don't think this place went crazy when we lost to Illinois?
