Acceptable win total for 2026

The schedule is brutal but with most teams losing and acquiring so many new transfers, who knows how it will go.

That’s how most teams are honestly. Just like how preseason rankings are useless, speculating now about next season is just as useless.

9 regular season wins in a 9 game SEC schedule could very well get teams into the CFP next season.

We should at least get 8. Texas, A&M, Bama, and LSU aren't impossible either. 8-4 would be my guess though.

I agree but we also have to go to ARK and SC. Not to mention GTech as well, whomever scheduled GTECH is not to bright. That doesn't benefit us in any way shape or form to play them if we win we were supposed to if we don't then it's just another L that could lead to JH getting fired

Feels like it’s playoffs or bust from here on out. At minimum have a good argument for why we should be in.

10-2 has to be the floor.

Anything shy of that pushes us further down the tier list.

We aren't remotely a championship caliber program. The embarrassment against Ohio State revealed that and 2025 confirmed it. Who knows if TN will ever get serious and decide to be a real player.

We haven't had good outcomes at either Arkansas or South Carolina lately. Just a fact
