Academic report from GVX....

If and When one of your coaches inherits a program that was a close to the death penalty as ours was and wins BIG the next year, then we will take your advice on how to do that. But, until it happens, don't make a comment like this about OUR team. You come across as condescending just like every other f'ing gator that I have met with the exception of one.

What an ignorant statement. Making excuses for Dooley's piss poor coaching doesn't help one bit.

In 2012 we can all agree UT's roster is closer talent wise to the upper echelon of the other East teams, right? (West is a totally different beast -BAMA- -LSU-)

So with that being said, we might expect some close games with the likes of UGA, USC, and UF...

Now, who here trusts Tennessee to win those close games with CDD as the man leading the way?

I trust him as much as I did Fulmer in his last years and Kiffin. Basically, nobody knows. Lots of factors involved. You look at Franklin, Spurrier, Richt, Muschamp...everyone has something to prove this year. Spurrier's best days are gone and I wouldn't want Richt running the team.
Basically, who knows, but I look forward to seeing what happens.

I hope so. We SHOULD be much better team this year.

2011- UF - 10 point loss
UGA - 8 point loss
USC- 11 point loss

I expect to win every game, don't matter who is coaching. I just don't throw a tantrum when we lose.

This.

I'd take Kiffin as a gameday coach. The guy surrounds himself with people who get it done on the field, and he is a solid recruiter and motivator. Off-field and as a person, notsomuch. As Bobby Petrino has shown us, being a great gameday coach doesn't make one a great human being. (Urban Meyer agrees.) If we could combine Kiffin's coaching with Dooley's integrity and loyalty, we might be on to something...

Ole Miss, UCLA and Va Tech liked Kiffins game day coaching too.

Dooley had a lot harder schedule with a lot worse team than Kiffin. Its not a fair comparison.

It's the only comparison we have though. Think about that though the two worst home losses in our long history both belong to Dooley.

He probably has as many blow outs in his short coaching career than Fulmers whole career.

It was against Oregon and Alabama with a team full of freshmen on both sides of the ball. Its really not fair. Its like UT has been on probation.

I have a hard time believing you could be that stupid.

Va Tech was 9-3 with one of those losses to Bama to start the season.

Regardless, they were ranked #12 in the country and they played an overmatched 7-5 team.

UT was more talented than Vtech. Vtech had an easy schedule. UT lost because Kiffin wanted to run 500 screens that game. I had to hear it from UGA fans on the way back to the hotel. It was a terrible gameplan.

UGA fans? They got abused that year by UT

LSU, UNC, UK, UGA and USCe like Dooley's gameday coaching. Actually, make that everybody in the SEC except Vandy-- cuz Dooley really beat the sh!t outta them in OT.

Oh, and Joe Adams is a huge fan of Dooley's gameday coaching, too... as is that UK backup WR-playing-QB-for-a-day who broke that 26-year streak thanks to Dooley's gameday coaching... and Saban, who gave Dooley the biggest Bama beatdown ever in Neyland... and Chip Kelly, who handed Dooley the biggest point loss in Neyland history... and the Vol faithful who watched Dooley gameday coach the Vols to the first back-to-back losing season in 100 years. Yes sir, Dooley sure is a better gameday coach than Kiffin.
