Academic report from GVX....

So, what's happening with the grades? Can they fix it this spring/summer? Or are we screwed?

In short, it is the assumption that most can be fixed. 24 scholarship players were on academic probation from the Fall semester and have the spring and summer sessions to bring it back up. Only a couple are rumored to already be gone (ie Miller and Schofield).

So yes, things can be changed for the better. I think the sheer amount of players is what seems to be concerning most people.

can someone tell me anything dooley has done well?

Can someone tell me why a gator fan is commenting on a board that obviously says Volnation at the top?

Besides that I am guessing you guys have plenty of problems to occupy your time so you dont have to worry about ours.

Anyone else want to argue the "no one wants Dooley to fail" statement?

My evidence keeps piling up.

No one wants Dooley to fail, they want him to win. However, he has yet to show any shred of an inclination that he is capable of doing so, hence the negativity.

He is pretty good at screwing up football analogies and being a smart alec loser from Georgia who thinks football should only be talked about during the season. Oh yeah I hear he is a good interior decorator. He supposedly re-does his office regularly.

let me help explain it to you and hopefully it will show that my presence on the board is not entirely a bad thing.

every fan wants to win. not just win, but win big. that's obvious. if you follow the game long enough, you can tell who's got it and who doesn't. it doesn't take very long.

some people come to a conclusion, positive or negative, quicker than others.

at florida, we sort of came to a negative conclusion about ron zook pretty quickly. the loss to mississippi state in 2004 was, in retrospect, one of the best days in florida football history. he was fired. urban meyer was hired. two additional crystal footballs now sit in a trophy case.

i have serious concerns about will muschamp. not because florida was 6-6 in and of itself. but, anyone who saw the 2011 florida-florida state game should have some serious concerns about whether or not jimbo fisher or will muschamp are going to get it done. one more performance like that one, and i will have reached a negative conclusion on muschamp. it was one of the worst played football game i have ever seen. if either team knew how to play the game, it would have been a blowout either way. but, florida was more pathetic than florida state that night. i draw the line at pathetic.

i am not going to go into detail on dooley because everyone here should know the details. but, as a lawyer, dooley should understand that the bulk of the evidence that one has to measure his abilities as a football coach is not positive.

You guys calling Dooley a piece of **** because the team had a bad fall gpa after showing progress previously are as weak as it gets.

Weak

Difficult concept to grasp, apparently. And I am optimistic to a fault most of the time.

I have to wonder if the early morning practices contributed to the problem?

Sure the early to bed early to rise concept kept our guys out of the crime log, but you have to wonder if a strenuous practice early in the morning is not wearing the guys out and that they are heading back to bed to sack in?

If and When one of your coaches inherits a program that was a close to the death penalty as ours was and wins BIG the next year, then we will take your advice on how to do that. But, until it happens, don't make a comment like this about OUR team. You come across as condescending just like every other f'ing gator that I have met with the exception of one.
