If Dooley is only responsible for keeping guys eligible, the VFL program is a joke. Another poster stated Dooley's only job is to keep them eligible. If Dooley really thinks that, he's a POS because he created a program just to sway mothers.

I think Dooley makes an effort to keep these guys more than just eligible. I just think he's overwhelmed with the job at Tennessee.

I guess that's why they are posting that he is a POS that lies to mothers in recruiting, where any potential recruit's mother can do a little peeking and find it.

We will have to agree to disagree then, because I think some people just want whats best for UT and dont think Dooley will be able to get it done.

Serious question............if the report had come out that our football team had a combined GPA of 3.5, who would receive the most praise over it? I would be willing to bet we would see 50 different threads about how Dooley has turned these kids around and should be credited with the academic success. So how is it not something that should go directly on his shoulders when it is the other way around?

Yes. Actually, from a few on here, I think they are emotionally invested in his demise enough that they want him to fail. I don't know if it's so that they can be right. I don't know if it's because they have convinced themselves that until he fails, UT can never "really" succeed. I just think they want his failure.

Volnation has shown that recruit parents watch this site. Some even create user accounts and interact. ANY fan that posts on here that CDD is a lieing POS in recruiting are using the same recruiting tactics against UT that other SEC coaches will use. Either they do it on purpose, or are just idiots.

If we only found out about fall grades now, when will we know about spring grades? Late August?

If Dooley were the coach at another SEC school, we would be roflmao ..

What parents see on the field and the fact that our team is where they are academically speaks a whole lot louder than a comment on a message board. IMO

Initial story came out at the first of Feb but without specifics. You can bet if this semester is good it will be put out very soon after finals by the AD.

(1) Then UT needs all the help we can get. Don't need supposed fans fanning the fire.

(2) It's Dooley's job to explain that to parents in their living rooms, not a supposed fan's job to smear **** on the wall in public.

(3) The recruiting that Dooley has been able to do, considering the state of the program, is an area that he is doing a great job in. Does it hurt that badly to show some support while we have him?

(4) The duplicity of that section of the fanbase is absolutely illogical and fallacious. He has been condemned for both (supposedly) promoting mediocrity and also holding the players accountable. It's sad and hilarious all at the same time.

People make this issue too simple. All I can say is Im glad I only have 2 kids to watch over.

It works both ways you know. What parents see from Dooley in their homes and the faith they have in him says more than what people "know" about his failures.

BS, any rational person, including myself, will be the first to say I was wrong if he proves otherwise. If Dooley makes significant progress with this team this year, I dont think you will see as many people negative of him.

Out of the other rubbish you have posted on this thread this actually is a spot on analysis. And in that case he wouldnt deserve all the credit and in the actual case he doesnt deserve all the blame that some are directing his way.

(1) You would have to make that admission to be taken even a little seriously on this board. It would be a matter of social compulsion.

(2) It is obvious that we would see far less negativity on the board.

(3) Neither statement has anything to do with the current irrationality and/or motive on this board.

Has anyone blaming the coaches stopped flapping their tongues (or typing their fingers in this case) to think about the fact that most of these players on Probation are Freshmen and Sophmores? You know that old "excuse" about the upperclassmen leadership you so quickly dismissed this is an afterchock to what was happening on the field. Not only were there no guys there to show these guys what to do on the field but there was also no one there to show them how to handle the classroom either. Blame Dooley all you want but the fact is these guys will run to there teamates for help before they will the coaches and when there is no help or guidance from there teammates then they wing it more times then not and are learning the hard way they did it wrong. Maybe some of you all need to look a little deeper in the WHOLE situation than just the fact you don't Dooley as a coach so therefore everything is his fault.

Nah what are you talking about? I'd rather go 0-12 for the next 10 years than have Dooley win an SEC championship here.

So would you rather Dooley go 8-4 this year and likely save his job, or go 6-6 and us hire a bigger name coach to come in next year with the talent we have now?
