Jackson knows how to pad his bottom line. He smells an opportunity to extort corporations with deep pockets. It's nothing more or less than that.

He was referring to the days Phil worked along side other blacks picking cotton. He said something to the effect of they were happier before the civil rights movement and so on. In swoops Jesse and claims "white privilege " and cries racism where none exists. Typical race pimp.

One should watch the documentary "Runaway Slave" that compares the current welfare state to an enslavement of African American culture. Several african american conservative leaders went into more detail than Phil on the same subject.

There is a movement within the african american community that are saying: "Wait a minute, you set up a system that pays us to remove the man from the home, break up our families, and we wonder why we have a dysfunctional culture? And why do we vote in group-think to keep you guys in office?"

This ^. Phil said he was white trash growing up and had to work the cotton fields. Said the blacks were the friendliest people he knew and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He also eluded to the black folks not blaming white people as they do today for their problems.

I still dont get the white privilege part though. Poor..not smart..good at athletics..gets to college to play ball..turns down NFL because he is a redneck and wants to hunt..makes a duck call..thats not privilege..thats ingenuity. Is Jesse saying only we have ingenuity? What a racist!

Jesse Jackson has been living off the backs of blacks his entire life. I can't think of anything he's done to help lift blacks up & out of poverty. He needs to go take care of his son that's in prison. You know the one, Jesse Jr., that went on a spending spree w/tax payer's money to the city trust funds. Jesse Jackson wants to tell everybody what to think & say cause he sure has the market on making speeches just like brother Barry.

The gall that Jackson has is that he "demanded a meeting" Dec. 23rd w/A&E & w/Cracker Barrel within 72 hrs to discuss Phil's quotes from GQ magazine. Apparently, that meeting never happened because both companies ignored Jesse's demands. Jesse needs to clean up his own front yard before he starts to clean in somebody else's backyard.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was involved in killing MLK. To this day the pictures of him standing on the balcony at the hotel pointing while MLK is on the ground (not dead) is odd to me.

I seem to have read somewhere long ago that that was brought up for discussion but nothing came of it.....it was just speculation on somebody's part. Way back in the early 60's, young pastors like Jesse Jackson & Andrew Young, who became mayor of Atlanta, & other prominent blacks would march w/MLK & when King was gunned down they were pushed to the front of the line to kind of take over & be the voice that Martin had been. I think you know the history of those that went on to become well to do blacks in the civil rights movements.
