Anybody with half a brain understands that color had nothing to do with it. He could have been Black, white, Indian or Japanese. The only thing that mattered was that he underachieved and wasn't Bruce Pearl.

After reading most of these posts it looks as if most Vol fans thought Cornish and Austin two freshmen were gonna save the day for Tennessee. They were the difference between 20 wins and dropping to 12 that is really funny to me. :rolleyes::peace2:

Been reading articles that he can't recruit high caliber players. But can't really blame him for that. Morehead State and So. Miss is not going to be very attractive to 4 and 5 star players. Ohio Valley or Conf. USA doesn't matter. You seem to have very similar talent per team in these leagues and he won games. That's a sign of his system working. Not saying it will be a huge success in the SEC but its going to be an interesting ride. Hoping that his system attracts more shooters to Knoxville that has been lacking. And by shooters I mean guys that arent streaky shooters. Also reading how his defense is a match up pressing zone should lead to some turnovers where Hubbs, Moore and Richardson can get out in transition. But my only worry is Thompson seem to prefer walking it up most often. Anyone know if they run uptempo at his high school or is this walk it up what he was taught to do. Or is that just what Martin preferred he do. If Davis, Cofer and Turman can trail there could be a lot of finishing around the rim for those guys off of steals and traps. Rambled a bit. But I'm excited for next year.

On the flip side though, I wouldn't be surprised if the decommitted players wanted to play for a black coach and left once that wasn't the case. It happens.

I would rather him have players that want to be at UT and fit his system. Better than them coming in. Riding the bench. Transferring out next year. Get guys to fit his system early is a big key to jump starting next year as well.

System may have something to do with it, but I think it's overplayed. These guys had relationships that just went up in smoke.

I'm not too concerned about it if these kids didn't like what they heard yesterday from him, then UT doesn't need them anyway. CDT will find players that want to be at UT and he will win with them. Because he is a proven winner.

Yes, but people would like to think next year isn't over before it starts

I don't think people expected to lose the whole class
