Relationships and system fit are both it. Finally some posts that are thoughtful.

He already knows who he wants to bring. He's probably looking for an upgrade or two over what he has, now that he is in the SEC at a major.

Losing Austin hurts big time because he was a legit point guard that UT hasn't had in ages.

Yes sir! Most of us believe that. The nay-sayers here on VN, along with the trolls agreeing with themselves with multiple names, have allowed VN to be considered one if the most negative sites in the country. Little crybabies have the biggest mouths. And that remark claiming Zo was mistreated because he's black........................that statement in itself is racist and no doubt a troll remark. A good coach is going to start with his type of players and there's plenty of time to fill the roster.

And he may get some of those he'd been going after that wouldn't have signed with SM. There's lots of playing time at UT for a lot of guys who would've gone some place else, including JUCO's. Josh Richardson just may be 1st team SEC in '14 with this style of play. I suggest we all stay positive at least until CDT's filled his roster.................unless negative subjectivity is just too overwhelming.

I don't know if that means they are currently committed to USM, or recruits that he was actively pursuing but not committed while at USM.

He can't make them stay at USM. I am sure CCM will not turn away at least listening to our de-commits. But I do hope CDT will let the USM players contact him if they de-commit.

The guys on 105 The Zone said something like 10 of the 14 guys CDT recruited for USM were Jucos. I know he can't sign 10 or 14 guys, so that tells me he may go after guys he recruited but never signed with USM.

It will be interesting to see if any of our guys that decommited today flip to Cal. Cuonzo said he asked them to stay....so I guess we will see.

He didn't "swear". And said he would encourage them to stay but didn't say he wouldn't pursue them if they insisted on leaving USM. Those kids need to decide what's best for them, just like Austin and Cornish have done.
