A day of Decommits

We'll likely never know for certain, but I believe CDT didn't see these commits as good fits for his system and was honest with them about it. His style of play is night and day when compared to ccm. Unless the recruit was so talented this wouldn't have mattered (which none of these were IMO) it was likely best for TN and the recruits to explore other options. Not enough scholarships in bball to waste them for sure.

Understatement, agree 100%.

Two of these guys could flat out play and were desperately needed. Would have probably been 4 year starters imo - the other two - meeh. This is not good imo and I think that the new coaching staff would have preferred to keep all 4.

I'm glad many of our Tennessee fans are not coaches. They would panic when we were down 1 with 10 seconds to go. We will be fine. Coach Tyndall has a plan. Be patient. Let him make his moves.

If these recruits were at a 4 and 5 star level of talent they I would be concerned. Lets face it most of us on this board were not happy will the level of talent CCM was able to recruit. I for one fall into this category. I believe CDT has looked a these players and feels like he can do better. At least I hope this is what he is thinking. If CDT is actually well connected at the CC level he may believe he can pull in better players from this group and not have to use up his scholarships on 4 or 5 year mediocre players. Get better players now from any source and point your recruiting resources at freshmen next year or the following year after he has had some time to build some relationships. He seems like a person who is very confident he can get the players he needs. I believe he feel he can recruit at a high level at Tennessee just as one of our previous coaches felt. Lets give him some time and see what he can do. Trust me the sky is not falling.

Next year was a rebuilding year anyway. My expectations was that next years team under Martin would not make the tourney. I feel better with CDT rebuilding without CCM recruits than CCM rebuilding with them.

Bi Polar.

Press conference "I like this guy"

Day 1 "He should be fired"

How about we give him some time before we crank out another petition.

"CCM recruited scrubs. We'll be lucky to get to .500."

"CDT is losing all these SEC caliber players."

All right guys. Take your meds and tell me which statement is true.

Because I can envision opposing fans referring to him as Dirty Donnie, especially if he develops questionable practices and wins big at the same time. Kind of how fans of other teams hated Bruce and came up with all kinds of digs at him. Embrace the hate...Dirty Donnie. He'd be our Dirty Donnie. Got a friend we call Dirty Dan because he has questionable hygiene practices and has low dating standards...come one come all in the women department.

Kentucky has John Calipari, Florida has billy Donovan, south caolina has frank martin, auburn has Bruce pearl and Tennessee has Dirty Donnie.

No in all seriousness, I want these former commits to do great wherever they go. Unless they're playing against the Vols. :)
