99º

102 on my little weather station monitor. 106 on the local weather website with 115 heat index. It's cooking folks.

Damn, shark infested waters. A little blood and it all goes to hell. BPV, normally, I respect what you have to say, but in your zeal to torch this guy, I think you went a little too far. You don't like the band? Fair enough. Maybe they add nothing to your gameday experience, but they do for some, and more than just their parents. In my time in the POTSB, I met some awesome fans. They were always 100% supportive. I can't speak to how it is now, but fans were great back then.

While band camp is nothing compared to two-a-days, it's still hard. Trying getting out there in this heat, marching in precision, while expending most of your air through a musical instrument. It's tougher than it looks. And back when, we did it on the carpet at Neyland, which was extremely brutal as all that heat just reflected right back up at you. I hated that damn rug and was glad when we went to grass.

Back on the original subject, I can't tell you how much it sucks to not have central air right now. At least I have a window unit, but it's in my bedroom and doesn't really circulate anywhere else ion my apartment. Even with my box fan, it still sucks.

broheim, I've marched and I've played ball on the turf. I'll take the marching all day long.

Did I go to far? Sure. Did I make the point? I think so, but I could be wrong.

Thank you, that's all I wanted to say. It's just hard to do with the mind of an angsty 15yr old male.

Wait... what? Are you talking about high school band camp? You're not talking about POTSB band camp?

:whistling: Well, I will be talking about POTSB in just a couple years. Don't hurt me :mf_surrender::mf_surrender::mf_surrender:

Although, the comments about respecting band were aimed more towards college and forward.

Sorry for being vague.

Point made. Second post was made before I saw your response to first. Not trying to beat a dead horse.

So to summarize the thread:

- It is hotter than 16 people stuffed in a closet

- it is even hotter somewhere else

-Hitler sucked at what he did since he got his ass kicked and had to do his own lame ass in, unfortunately denying us the pleasure of the task

- bands get no respect and deserve none, unless they are potsb

- either way, 50% are slightly obese, narcissistic females with a penchant for the goth look and insufferable complaining

Pretty much.

LMFAO Seriously? High school band camp is nothing. If you think high school band camp is tough, wait until you go through the real thing. I can't believe you started this whole mess about high school band camp. Really?

Kid, I played in the band and I know how band kids get picked on in HS, but you need thicker skin. Don't expect respect to be forthcoming because it hardly ever will be. Do what you do because you enjoy it and want to do it. There will always be people who are going to bully you and put you down. Learn from it and move on. Don't get your feelings hurt and make asinine statements just for the shock value. Know what you're talking about before you actually start talking about it.

:frown: I even asked you not to murder me over it
