2026 Transfer Portal Thread

Would be happy to continue searching mid major ranks for players. It has worked out reasonably well for Barnes. I think we need at least 3 from the portal. PG, 2G and SF would be first and depending on what happens on our roster and with pending high school recruits can fill in a defensive shot blocker and stretch 4 as needed.

Juke Harris (Wake Forest) would come at a premium if he enters portal and doesn’t go into NBA draft. He can flat out play. If I remember correctly we were among his final offers out of high school.

A ton of SEC schools will be portal hunting this year. Georgia potentially brings a lot of players back but that is about it.

Juke Harris and Jeremiah Wilkinson.

Win the whole thing.

yeah I think he is an incredible offensive player, although he might be as bad on defense as he is good on offense.
But is he a good mate, willing to work on being a better defender like Knecht or is he in the mold of Carr?

I will violate the known TN transfer target only this one time...I promise...but it is only because I really want us to get this young man. I hope Georgia's Somto Cyril enters the portal after the tournament and Barnes nabs him. I think he would fit nicely into our system.

You are one of my favorites. I enjoyed your posts and the I think most of the folks that maybe did not respond as positively are actually secretly fans of your posts also.

If this a genuine post, then I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If this is a sarcastic post, then meet me at Waffle House for a manly game of cornhole

We gotta take transfers who can stay 2-3 year. If the player doesn’t pan out at least you can shift gears in recruitment

I'd assume Belmont to Tennessee in terms of defensive responsibility would be a shock to the system for Lundblade. Perhaps Barnes is willing to forgive some lapses on that end for some shooting.
This is absolutely what Barnes needs to do to advance. Give a little to get the offense you need.

I can confirm that Tennessee currently has a $2.7M offer on the table.
Are you sure? I am having a hard time believing it. That is more than most of this current star-studded freshman class. Almost twice Acuff and Peat, for example. Ament was an outlier (outside of the Dybantsa and Peterson) this year and we had to do it to get him, but this seems like Kentucky levels of overpaying, if true.

Yes. It's the new market.
