If we are talking about shooters and what it could look like next year.

#14 ranked - Lundblade 3 point by attempts - 115/283

#20 ranked - Gillispie 3 point by attempts - 88/265

Next best 3 point shooters for TN and Belmont:

Nate - 42/127
Boswell - 23/59

Sam Orme - 48/121
Eoin Dillon - 50/112

Do we not also need to be actively seeking a stretch 4? Or are we banking on Estrella being healthy next year and able to fill that? Or maybe 1 of the incoming freshmen...

Can Lundblade score in ways other than 3 point shots? His highlights are only 3’s.
He has a nice midrange game and scores on fadeaways. Doing it in the SEC presents a challenging jump in competition. As I said in another thread, he will remind people of Dalton Knecht from deep and from the midrange. But he doesn't have anywhere near DK's ability to get to the rim or athleticism.

I like our inside depth and experience returning, but Okpara is unique. Who becomes that fearless rim protector if we don’t get one?
Cade Phillips is a couple inches shorter, but has the athleticism and willingness to be that rim-protector. Health and foul discipline are a question marks, as is his ability to body up on bigger "true centers". I wouldn't mind finding a like-for-like Okpara replacement. Someone like a Somto Cyril if we are keeping the Georgia transfer theme going.

Has to enter the portal first, obviously. I'd think he and Catchings would be redundant. Probably only take 1 of those 2 if the options existed at some point.
Would kinda hope for Freeman ngl. Catchings offers way more shooting upside (somehow ignore tourney game lol), but going to have to find a way to replace some of the raw athleticism and defense that Okpara provided while only adding a 4 who can space the floor some. Cade will help with athleticism but Freeman would be a nice complement for Estrella/Brown imo.

Yeah, I'd probably agree if the need becomes less about shooting. If we address that albatross at the guard position, then I'd prefer Freeman. It's close for me, though. Catching brings another shooter to the floor. Also fair to wonder how much higher Freeman's ceiling is now that he's had a year to adjust to the level of play at the SEC level.
