Ranked No. 24 overall in the class of 2026, Washington is a true high-flyer, and he showed that and more on opening night. A fluid mover at about 6-foot-7, his court coverage and ability in transition or attacking the hoop are separators for him. While his jumper wasn't falling on Sunday, it did look better mechanically than this time a year ago, and he does appear to be improving his ball handling.
"I felt like I played just ok tonight," said Washington. "My shot was off today, but I will get it right."
While he hasn't set dates for visits yet, Washington mentioned two schools that he definitely is planning to see officially during the fall.
"I know I want to visit
Alabama and
Tennessee," Washington told 247Sports. "They both fit me and what I do."
"Alabama says I fit their style of play. They talk about
Brandon Miller, but also how they like how I'm me. Tennessee is kind of the same thing - they think I fit their style of play."
