I was envious of Vandy having Enrique Bradfield in CF and have wanted someone like him who could cover a ton of territory. Abernathy is the closest we've had with elite speed. And it sounds like he's a stud at the plate too.

Agree if Grimmer is going to unseat anyone from a starting position it is Brown or Chapman which will be a tough task. It is a good problem to have when you have Grimmer, Wright and Myatt all fighting for a starting spot.

I’m not sure what Abernathy’s walk rate and contact rate will be, but if those are really good, then we will have us an elite lead-off man. Plus, that speed patrolling CF and his great arm will make him even more valuable.

I hope the boys know we’re as ready as they are and we’re gonna show up and show out. Tony will always have a special place here, but the excitement will remain with Elander. I’m pumped.
