Defensively, I agree. Antigua looks like a pro playing the position. You are right, he is perhaps the best defensive SS in college baseball. No reason he can't play SS and slide Marin to 2B, if necessary. AA does have to improve with the bat to even a serviceable level. I really thought he'd have gotten there by now, but we are still waiting. Hopefully it improves.If you’d seen Antigua at SS yesterday, you’d reconsider. Might be best defensive SS in college baseball. His athleticism and hustle are off the charts. Marin is no slouch but Antigua is all time special on D. If he can hit ,270 and lay down an occasional bunt, he will play.
PS. Plus Antigua had a better Fall than Marin so it’s Antigua’s spot to lose.
