2025 Transfer Portal

The best five players still left in the portal not including Willians and Kneepkens who have narrowed it down just waiting to make their picks.

Emely Rodriguez just a freshman 12 ppg and 5 rpg 33 percent from the three 41 percent overall. 1.15 sc-eff

Laila Phelia 17 ppg and 4 rpg at Michigan two years ago.

Chantae Embry teammate of Robertson at SMU 12 ppg 7 rpg 42 percent shooter 1.32 sc-eff

Kierra Edmonds 8 ppg 7 rpg 46 percent FG percentage 46 percent from the field.

Leniah Randle 12 ppg 6 rpg 50 percent from the field and 1.22 sc-eff out of Missouri

Other than these five and the two deciding among a couple of schools all the top players have found a home.

When these seven players are gone will be the opportunity to evaluate SEC rosters. Several of these players could still land in the SEC.

Iyana Moore of Vandy perhaps. Seems like she is considering UCLA, Notre Dame, and Texas based on Instagram follows.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the LVs have lost a single meaningful player to transfer since all this madness started. Thats a real compliment to the program and both staffs.

We really have not. Striplin would probably be the closest but it’s hard to tell what her role might have been at UT under Caldwell. She definitely could have contributed but I’m not sure I would consider her an impact player.

Otherwise all of our coaches have done a good job with retention. I believe a lot of that is just how good the student experience at UT is. It’s a GREAT, fun place to go to college and live.

Article says the ranking is based on also not losing anyone of value, which is a huge accomplishment. Others, like LSU, got better players also lost key players. Others like So Car and UConn didn't need much but got better players who are exactly what they need. Just didn't need much.

Our transfers, esp JB, have huge upside and potential but also serious questions.
It has been a while but I think one is much more mature as a senior than an 18-19 year old newbie. I’m not worried about JB. She has a clean slate and is clearly looking at her future after college.

I loved SS!

Case in point per Robertson’s efficiency. Just look at Spencer’s numbers from Arkansas to Tennessee. In the Caldwell system she was 40% and 36% over 10% better from three. Hard to ignore that. Played almost 10 fewer minutes and was way more effective and efficient scoring nearly the same as she did at Arkansas.
What a great player and role model! I so hate we had her for such a short time. LVFL!

ThInk those numbers mostly show how miserable SS was her last season at Arky w all the lockeroom drama. Other than that yr her numbers were similar. Wish she'd transferred somewhere after her first year. Might be in a W training camp if she had.
Jersey was on that team too. I wonder if she consulted with Samara about how her LV experience was different?

Jersey ended up taking a whole year off after that. Apparently for mental health reasons. So that must have been a spicy locker room.

There were some good players on that team and they grossly underachieved. They had Barnum, Dauda, Wolfenbarger, Spencer, Daniels, Poffenbarger and a couple other decent players and couldn’t make it work. Neighbors could never figure out how to utilize his bigs properly. He was trying to do what we did with Zee this season but clearly didn’t know how to develop that.

Really not anybody out there to get for LSU so they will be going with Koval, Joyner, and freshman Knox. They may pick up another post, but it won't be anybody even close to any of the three they have now. Our post group looks better than theirs for next season.

I bet LSU offered more money than UConn, but when Mulkey insisted she takes a couple of her outfits she wears on the sidelines that killed the deal.

This certainly doesn't help LSU they become a little suspect with the inside game.

LSU's kinda cooked if you ask me. I could be wrong, but I think they let Jersey walk thinking they'd sign Serah Williams. Before the Serah to LSU predictions heated up, Jersey reaffirmed her commitment to LSU, only to enter the portal a couple days later.

They lost their entire frontline in Morrow, Smith, Jersey and ADR. Having to rely entirely on Kate Koval and Grace Knox is not a recipe for a top 3 SEC team, IMO. Koval doesn't have SEC experience and Grace is a freshman. Their guard potential is through the roof, but you also have other SEC teams (SC, Tenn, Texas, Ole Miss, OU) with great guards. Now SC, Texas and Tenn have better post play on paper.

They won a lot of games two against us because of Morrow's offensive rebounding. That is lost next season. Koval, Joyner, and Knox won't be able to do what she did.

As for UConn though, they should easily be the favorites to repeat. Truly scary hours up there. Sarah Strong can now slide to the 3 or 4 and do damage. They can play inside-out for the first time in a while. Geno is back in his bag.

I hope to see them on Tennessee's schedule. I want to see how we measure up.

Even better than last season amazing talent inside and out. May be one of those seasons where they do not lose a game. Well were on it playing up at their place.

Jersey was no longer part of the program in Samara's last season. She entered the transfer portal at the start of the season, and did not play her junior season. She enrolled at LSU the following year.

Doesn't bode well for most teams hoping that UConn would be more vulnerable this coming season. Serah will lessen the blow of losing Paige. You give up on the perimeter, but make up with a stronger inside game, which has been their kryptonite for the past few seasons.

Correct. And two years before that, it was Angel.

Koval will be really good under Kim, but she isn't a Morrow or Reese on the boards. She doesn't have SEC experience. I expect them to be really good still, but their ceiling is much lower.

I'm looking at close to undefeated may lose one on the road don't know who they play. Fisher is a better point guard than Chen and Fudd will take on more offense on the perimeter. Strong and Williams will dominate anybody inside. I can see them repeating they should be ranked number one beginning the season. I can see them winning very strong team next season.

I would put UConn at #1 starting the season due to being the defending National Champions, but they definitely will take a step back without Paige.
Doesn’t matter what fans think you don’t replace a player of that caliber in a few months.
The number of games they lose during the regular season will come down to their non-conference slate and home-court advantage.
