It's hard to wrap my head around when you try to crunch the numbers.

A school like Providence for instance likely doesn't even generate $20M in revenue through basketball per year. Let alone to have that to distribute.

We know publicly how much they generate through ticket sales and Big East media rev shares.

Which combined isn't even $15M...

And a lot of those Big East Schools aren't going to look much different than Providence.

I don't understand how that Big East number could be so high. I have to be missing something...

or that guy is wrong.

Admittedly, I haven’t dug into it a ton on a molecular level yet. Without looking at how recently certain conferences have done new media deals, I do wonder if this leads to extensions or renegotiations sooner than they would have. No clue if that could be a potential driving factor in projections, along with other stuff I’m not thinking of.

Just my opinion but I think Vols are silly waiting around for Gainey we absolutely need another 2 guard. I thought when we got Massamba we were set but I'm hearing rumblings the staff is unlikely to give him any minutes this year. Think Boswell last year

So the house settlement is proposing to put a cap on NIL$? Seems like that would be struck down by the courts based on their past rulings?

They are trying the clearinghouse and will lose in court immediately if they try to control it or curtail it in any way.

Imagine the NBA telling LeBron James he can only take a certain amount of money from Nike. This is no different and the NCAA was already spanked over the knee for trying it once.

Your ability to make money off your own name/image/likeness will never again be capped or controlled by the NCAA or any other entity.

Fland played PG for Arkansas. Regardless of where he says he will play, he’s a type of ball dominant guard. We aren’t paying money for that.
