2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

I don’t think Bishop is a 1st round pick or anything. Don’t think any of the portal backs were either.

But his trajectory is real similar to Jaylen Wright who really ascended his 3rd year and became a mid round pick. Could easily see Bishop as a day 3 pick with a good year. Maybe sooner who knows. He’s very good.
Wright had a good season for the Phins. Would have been better if our line and QB werent trash

Why can’t some of the fans do simple math?
We had 100 roster players last year, we lost 39/40 to the nfl/graduation/portal.
We have added 39 between the 2026 class and the portal.
You seem to be under the impression that walk-ons' spots are guaranteed. They are not. Your math is not mathing.

If I just had a mediocre year and I’m entering year 6, I better get the most important position on the field right. If they’re confident that’s GMac, then great. Says a lot about the kid. However, their actions of trying to get a transfer QB don’t say that to me.

And I agree with your sentiment that they should develop and play the guys that are recruited. It’s just risky to me at this juncture of Heupel’s tenure. I also want to make a playoff push every year and I think a proven guy gives us a better chance than GMac as a redshirt freshman. There are no development or rebuilding years anymore where players just gain experience.
This. Obviously we’re all on the outside looking in, but handling of the QB spot seems risky to me too.

Seems like the plan was either shoot for the moon (Leavitt, Ty Simpson, Aguilar - all of which were extremely long shots) or roll with GMAC and Faizon Brandon. I’ve got no problem if Huepel really feels like that is the 4th best option compared to the field, but couple things just don’t exactly instill confidence: Merklinger never showed anything but mediocrity at best, yet he still got all the reps over GMAC. Nico’s redshirt freshman year was pretty meh.

Your QB needs to retire before he gets another concussion.
They should have traded him instead of signing him to that ridiculous extension. Thankfully, they finally got rid of Grier and hired a real GM. Grier was atrocious.
They need to make a move on a QB this off-season. Wilson isnt it and Ewers needs time.

It’s not personal…seems to talk to everyone that way

My theory: he’s one of DW lieutenants

“Lieutenant of Misinformation”

“Lieutenant of Information we don’t want to get out”
Nah. Nothing related to DW. I don’t have an issue with DW, but I have this poster on ignore.
