He's not an NFL back. There were some to be had.

He has 2 years to get there. He is terribly efficient and a great decision maker. Does not leave yards out there dancing or trying to get to the corner. Think Coach is comfortable with him starting as every down back.

Yep that is correct. Heupel not hiring a GM was first big mistake after last portal season.

Billy High is the GM. Put in that position right before the season started. How good of a job is he doing can be debated though. Not getting these first visits have been killing us with some of these players. Seems Heupel and co. have been treating the portal like high school recruiting where you think you’re going to get a visit at some point down the line.

Oh, it was just absolute luck, for sure. It was complete luck that we brought in a new DC who happened to bring in his guys who could help implement his defensive scheme.

And if you take away the other 10ish guys that were brought in from Michigan, LSU, Tulane, Auburn, Etc.... then our staff completely whiffed. How do people not see how close we were to not getting a single player from the portal???

If we didn’t have the defensive PSU connections in this transfer portal class, I’d wager this class would have been a legit dumpster fire disaster…

Others are able to make it happen.
Just because I’m saying something you don’t want to hear and you are resorting to calling me a child doesn’t make me wrong.
The results are the results. The class is solid. It has holes still. Thankful for our PSU connections on defense.
