2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Bull from Bluechip Breakdown with some interesting takes on our current porthole targets.
He also says that irrespective of any future ruling, Joey Aguilar won't be back.
The video is a little long but informative if you have time to listen.

Just my opinion, I’m not sure how much this guy actually knows.

I watch his videos cause he provides good stats but I don’t think he has any real intel.

Not saying that I don't want Joey back, but if we don't know when the ruling is coming, we cannot risk going into spring without a QB again. We were okay with Joey, but we probably won't be so lucky again. GMac and Faizon are going to be too green to compete.

I just started watching his stuff and for someone who covers the team he’s kind of in the dark about a lot. Latest show he seemed unsure that the Simpson family was from Martin. Didn’t know his dad coached at UTM. A fan from the chat chimed in that he coached and Martin and Bull said “oh he coaches at the high school there? That makes sense now why Heupel was there.”

I stopped listening at that point.

Some PSU dominoes still dropping and s couple that there will be interest on. On Lane, described as having big time playmaking ability but a guy that up to this point flashes but hasn't shown consistency in tackling & understanding where he needs to be. High Ceiling guy but also approaching that point where you have to acknowledge he may just never develop. Told he is an elite speed safety (like real 10.9 to 11 sec 100m guy)

They will also reach out to Randy Adirika, was true freshmen. Big body/frame - hus family will be pushing for Miami

Leaving the QB position up to a coin flip with one side being Gmac starting isn't a good proposition for Heupel and his job status. I personally don't view him as having a seat anywhere close to warming, but if he rolled dice on Joey court decision and loses and Gmac starts and has a shaky season, Heupel will have the crows out for him. Just unnecessary on his part to go down that route.

Few things I heard today: Alabama is in full crisis. Apparently DeBoer walked all the way to the edge with the Michigan job while telling players he wasn’t interested. There are big culture clashes and the boosters are in a meltdown. He has an extended contract, a raise and now the rats are leaving the ship. Boosters wish they had leverage, but now they don’t. Poor guys… In that vein, the Simpson thing continues to pick up momentum. His projected spot in the draft seems to be squishy as I indicated before. Also, he wants to play another college season. Lots of smoke. We have the funds. Obviously agents are going to pull toward NFL. We’ll see. Jordan Ross seems 75+% staying. Had a meeting with every D coach. Likes the energy. We’ve heard from more D players who will enter, but haven’t yet. Everyone feels good that we’ll sign three safeties, two corners and 2-4 on the D line.
Visits picking up. I’m not going to cover percentages of each player, but our holes are primarily defense and we have a lot of optimism that we’ll fill all our needs.

Nice write up! Good info, that will be solid if we end up with those gaps filled. Getting Ty as well would be huge in my opinion. Thanks 👍

This is almost 100 likes– is this poster fan-fict or legit chat?

Bama deserves 200 years of dysfunction.

I was listening the other day and he thought King Mack was a QB from Georgia Tech 😂

I remember a time when a QB in his second year would start and, with GMACs apparent skills, succeed.
