He's got 2.75 million reasons to just ignore it. Along with being so high-browed about everything else, it's odd that he would waste time away from kicking puppies and finding new ways to gouge fans to respond to something like that. Must be a slow day.

Just bringing this back up for everyone who thinks this guy is an insider (looking at you @Carp). Campbell wasn't even in the portal when this was posted and won't be on campus until later this week. This was posted right after it was announced that Campbell was going to enter the portal and Tennessee was likely going to be the team to beat. If JAllen was smart, he wouldn't have went out on a limb saying he was on a visit...instead, he fully outed himself.

Kinda funny. A few years ago the portal is where bad players went to find a lower tier school. Now we seem to assume that it's a veritable gold mine.

I'm not suggesting there isn't (some) gold in the portal, just saying that it didn't magically make every player better.

it's coming one way or another. all schools will be setting up something like it. fans that come to games tailgate. the universities want to capture that unrealized revenue. hey instead of sitting outside or by your truck, come hang out in any multitude of restaurants or bars and spend. while you're walking to/from, you should buy some merch.

you'll see more and more do something similar.

I tell you misery loves company and many of the big boys are in panic mode. I have seen ND, AL, OSU and several others in a tizzy this portal season.

IMO, Another NCAA move backfires. I tend to believe the single portal period instead of two has supercharged the single portal window.

it's less about who is in there just hanging out, and more about the window of opportunity to indirectly influence a good/great player (improvement) to quickly "hop in" before transferring to your school.

They have contracts now. They just aren't legally enforceable.

This is the hypothetical we are all seeing get answered in real-time. No actual professional sport would be stupid enough to end up in this situation.

The issue is schools and coaches know this and the fight over the 10-20% of good ones has gone parabolic.

The portal is still open for another week or so. They might still jump. AP mentioned House and Loftin specifically, but both of those guys seem to have the size Knowles would want for their position...so maybe they'll stick around.

Lol, na JK. He's not 100% sure, he's been on the phone with schools, visits, but haven't made up his mind yet. Hopefully he'll make a decision soon.
