2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

What’s a championship worth?
I guarantee Ohio st last year, and whoever wins this year have overpaid for what their roster is worth, including QB.
Y’all are talking about paying 5 million dollars to a guy who wasn’t even third team All Big 12. He was the 4th or 5th best QB in a bad league.

Talking like he’s the missing piece to a championship is crazy. Cincinnati fans didn’t even think he was very good.

A better QB isn’t winning us a NC in 2026
I dont think we are far off from competing in 2026. I think that 5 million being spent on safer QB play, DBs, DT depth, and a true 1B option at RBs.

Its funny before the year I thought we could live with a few more turnovers if we saw an uptick in offensive production, but those turnovers we huge in 2 of losses and were not worth the additional production.

UCF fans didn’t think Heupel was very good,
UCLA fans thought they upgraded by trading Joey for Nico.

There’s a reason he’s rated as one of the top QB’s in the portal and why he’ll get top $$.

Why do people keep posting portal players for players entering the portal of player positions that we do not need a portal player for?

All people have to do is watch film. Was easy to see that Joey was going to be good if you watched his film.

But if we land Raynor they will say he's not good purely because he played at East Carolina, because for some reason these people think it's impossible for small conference players to be good.
It’s not that. He’s just not very good.

If we take him he will be the 3rd QB.
That’s cool because we need a 3rd QB.
