And yet Indiana has a New QB and New Players
Ohio st has a New QB, new DC
TT bought a ton of new players.

Remind me again who the favorites to win a NC this year are?

Sounds like you have a ton of excuses why we can’t,
Yet others don’t seem to have a problem with it.

OSU won it all last year.

IU was in the playoffs last year and built from that. They also happen to have Saban light as their HC (the guy’s success ain’t normal).

TT hasn’t won’t anything yet. The beat up on the Big12.

So different QB and DC but let’s ignore that because that’s 2 of the reasons UT can’t be expected to win this year. And last year was last year , that guaranteed nothing for this year.

IU was in the playoffs and built from that with different players, New QB. UT was in the playoffs last year too but went 8-4. IU went and got the Hiesman winner, so it pays to not settle for just being ok.

TT. In the playoffs with 1 loss and 4th? In odds on favorite to win the NC.
I’d say they’ve something. 8-5 last season.
But UT can’t go from 8-4 to were they are.? Ok . Glad the team and coaches don’t have you’re mentality.

I admittedly want the Smothers kid from NC State. Cam Cook would be nice too.

But Morris is a real X-Factor for sure. His feet are ridiculous. Hope he wears a different number.

Baker is going to need to be that shot yardage guy along with Bishop. Bishop has always been good for that even when he was 195 lbs. Now he’s a solid 212 and faster than he was at 195 lbs.

Well yeah, why in the hell would coaches and team have my mentality? I’m not a part of the program, bub.

As I’ve said, fully expect a good season. Not a NC. If TT or IU don’t win it this year then those weren’t NC teams either. And OSU is a different caliber of program than the Vols right now whether that’s something you wanna hear or not. Hard to measure vs anything they do currently.

Let’s see how it plays out.

Didn’t mean to hurt your feelings over my opinion of the team’s ceiling next year.

Is Cook the Jax State kid? I get the 2 Cams (the other from UConn) mixed up. I love the Jax State kid.

I’ve loved Morris since before he was committed to USC. Really wanted to flip him and was really glad when we did. He has Jamyr Gibbs feet. When he played earlier this year against UAB, he had a hamstring injury and we really didn’t get to see his true speed/quickness.

The thing about Cook from Jax State though is that he was already at TCU for 2 years and made no impact. His monster season at an extremely low level might be fools gold.

It's absolutely below average and it's NOT even debatable. I love JA, but 3/4 of deep balls were underthrown. He doesn't have the arm strength to make a lot of the throws he'd be asked to make in the NFL. Hendon has a much higher football IQ than Joey. Hendon was a much better reader of defense's and again, I don't believe anyone would argue that. I also disagree that JA was asked to do more. Hooker was asked to do much more than JA and that includes running the ball..maybe if JA had gotten a 2nd year in the system, he may have been asked to do more. But, Hendon had a much better grasp of the offense, which makes sense seeing as he got a 2nd year in the system. Something I don't see JA getting. I do agree that JA could be a practice squad guy, similar to Hendon. But, Hooker went higher in the draft than Aguilar will go. And I'm not 100% sure that Aguilar even gets drafted. I'm really pulling for JA to catch on with some NFL team, but hoping he wins his lawsuit and that some college team signs him for one last year. He's a great kid and deserves it.

Just glad we cleared up that when you say the Vols aren’t winning a Natty next year just that, your opinion.

It’s definitely a possibility with the right additions to the roster.

It is debatable. I’m debating it and you are wrong. Talking about his long balls being underthrown is a twofold issue for you. First, most weren’t. 2nd, underthrow gives wr a chance to get it or draw a penalty. Overthrow doesn’t give either a chance.
You can’t watch a 50 yard rope on a post to Brazzell while getting hit and say an arm is below average. Well I guess u can but that’s another completely wrong statement.
