2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

What risk?

He threw 11 ints this season in a trash conference. Had 400 yards rush at 2.7 per carry.

Very weak arm.
I haven’t watched him. So I don’t know. But knowing Butch and the fact that he plays at Arkansas St he probably has a below average OL in front of him.

Not saying he should be the guy. But if he has tools those numbers could look a lot different here.

I'm fine with taking him. Hed be the 3rd QB eventually.

Seems like you want us to get anyone who puts their name in the portal. Also, how do you know how good all the players you mention are? Have you actually watched all these guys play this past year?

Yeah I’ve watched most of them.

If there’s something you don’t like about the players I mention then, I’m all ears.

Didn’t Joey come from a meh conference, throw 10+ ints and have meh yards per carry before coming here.

Yeah….I think he did.

Oh and let’s not forget about Joey’s weak arm I keep seeing posters talk about.

App State Joey:
3000 Passing Yards
23/14

200 Rushing Yards
2 TDS
3.5 avg.

Jaylen Raynor
3361 Passing Yards
19/11

400 rushing yards
7 TDs
2.7 avg

He had 1 more TD than Joey. Again, I’d take the risk if we miss on some guys that’s all I’m saying

When you talk about rushing yards for a qb, a reminder those include sacks. IMO, should be a separate stat somehow.
Can he tuck and extend a drive. Can he get away from pressure. Can he keep it on rpo. Can he run for 15 on 3rd and 5 when a team like TN drops 7 deep and take advantage of what a defense gives.
I don’t know. Didn’t see him play but saying a qb can’t run from looking at his ypc is nothing more than a guess.

Take away the sack yardage and Raynor had over 600 yards rushing, more than capable runner.

All people have to do is watch film. Was easy to see that Joey was going to be good if you watched his film.

But if we land Raynor they will say he's not good purely because he played at East Carolina, because for some reason these people think it's impossible for small conference players to be good.
