Still say it's not the amount of money we throw around and flush away. We do that quite well.

At the end of the day, it's about our staff's ability (or lack thereof) to evaluate talent. Let's be real. Heupel has yet to succeed at UT with a qb he's evaluated, signed, and developed. I suggest we have the same problem at some other positions.

Really hoping our new additions to the staff know an sec player when they see one. Still think we need a legit QB coach/OC and a new face as the OL coach to really get back to being a serious contender in this league much less sniff the playoffs.

Being the positive poster that I am, I think they will work behind the scenes at several spots where there are younger recruits they don't want to spook into the portal. At spots where we're thin or lacking the potential they thought they'd recruited, they pull the trigger and announce the agreement. Once the portal door closes, that's when I think the additions come fast and furious.

One of my best friends is big OK State Alum and his business is directly involved with college & pro sports. He knows JK pretty well but has a very close connection with someone who has been with Knowles the last 11 years & will be on staff at UT as an analyst or other support type role

Feels like we went from a college staff to a pro defensive staff. The analytics thing alone to me is a big time win, and explains so much.

If you all haven't checked out this guys brief post history, its worth a quick read. Good info.

Might prove to be FOS but if so, he at least gets credit for coming up with an elaborate back story.

He mentioned in a few of his posts that AJ Harris and Eliott Washington are expected to be Vols. I suddenly feel a lot better about our CB position next year if we can pull that off.
