Nice! Appreciate the info. Keep it coming! One of my best friends is big OK State Alum and his business is directly involved with college & pro sports. He knows JK pretty well but has a very close connection with someone who has been with Knowles the last 11 years & will be on staff at UT as an analyst or other support type role
Yes. They still have a decent group of rich boosters but no one approaching Boone type money, plus he was a true football fan, and very willing to give to the school - especially to the football program. They would likley be in a similar situation as TTU if Boone was still around. In NIL era one crazy billionaire can be the difference in being revelant or notOklahoma State has fell off the map since T. Boone Pickens passed away...
Maybe. Maybe Mullen really developed him.To be honest, I thought he looked like he had potential when he was at UVA and then he had a good numbers year at UNLV. Probably would be somebody with similar potential to Joey.
With that being said, I think if we go this route, we expect Faizon to win the job.
QBs are always WAY overvalued in the draft. Many who should be R3 picks are taken R1. I wouldn't take Simpson R1, but I'd take him over Anthony Richardson, who was a top 10 overall pick. NFL GMs are pretty stupid when it comes to QBs.I just can’t see all of them being first round picks
NFL GMs react to QBs with a big arm/good measurables the same way most of us react to a well-endowed womanQBs are always WAY overvalued in the draft. Many who should be R3 picks are taken R1. So yeah, you're right in that those guys probably aren't R1 talents, but some of them will go R1.
The prefatory clause was my favorite part of this post. Gold. Just gold.Being the positive poster that I am, I think they will work behind the scenes at several spots where there are younger recruits they don't want to spook into the portal. At spots where we're thin or lacking the potential they thought they'd recruited, they pull the trigger and announce the agreement. Once the portal door closes, that's when I think the additions come fast and furious.
That is because finding QB's that really can play at NFL level is so difficult they take guys hoping they are it . It is the same in big time college football. If you go through last 20 years and see numbers of blue chip QB's that are just average at best huge. That's why when people on here say Heupel can't evaluate or develop QB really people. He took 2 cast offs from Portal one he chose Hooker already here and has both making money in NFL. Nico guess what every coach in America wanted him and I understand why his talent level off the charts but his brain hasn't caught up to his skill and his dad torpedoed his career. If Nico had stayed with no family issues Josh would have him cashing checks one day as well. The QB carousel fun to watch. In CHRIST AloneQBs are always WAY overvalued in the draft. When you run the numbers this way for all the other Ncaa teams, where does our offense rank?No we showed variety at the beginning of the year. Then we just stopped after UGA game.
Yeah we always bet the crap out of cream puffs but can’t get over 30 against any Top 25 team.
It’s not as bad as the defensive issue but it’s a problem.
I am very curious about this. When you run the numbers this way for all the other Ncaa teams, where does our offense rank?
Football produces tons of data. And it is easy to reject the data and explain it away. We see it all the time. What we don't see is when the same metric of explanation is recalculated for all the teams in the data set.I am very curious about this.
Most of the time these are talking points on message boards or talk radio but the numbers are generally consistent across the board. If we dropped against those team, others did as well.
