2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

It was a bad playcall.

Here's why, Bama originally came out in their jumbo package to match our jumbo package. Knowing the situation (2ND & GOAL, 9 seconds left, no TOs, enough time for 2 plays before a FG) their coaches knew we were going to throw the ball so they called TO to not only communicate that with their players but to also CHANGE FORMATIONS!!! THEY HAD 5 DEFENSIVE BACKS ON THE FIELD!!!!! They went to Nickel formation to defend the PASS!

Not only did we come out in the same formation to run the same damn play we also run a damn play action fake which only gave the defense even more time to get to Joey bc everybody including Stevie Wonder knew we weren't going to run the ball!!!

The pass was awful, no argument there but the playcall was horrendous especially after the TO. Two man route to your 5th and 6th best pass catchers on the team (that's being generous) to the short side of the field against faster, more athletic DBs.

It was a dumb ass situational playcall.

Ok back to the portal lol.
Not a bad play call. A bad throw. Now back to the portal.

Some of this is true but the throw required stepping to the right and throwing submarine under the defender to the pylon. Not ideal.
And 3 wasn’t an option because it was 4th down, wasn’t it? If he threw it in the stands on 4th down, it’s no different than Nico or Milton running out of bounds on 4th. Coulda been 3rd down. I can’t recall tbh. Def throw in stands if it was 3rd.
It was an awful pass as he tried to float it over the defender in his sight line and pulled the string on it.

Think it was 2nd down with 9 seconds left when the ball was snapped. Could also be wrong

JAllen absolutely addressed it and mentioned we had talks with him.
Having talks doesn’t mean it’s a realistic possibility pal. He already chose OSU over us, all OSU needed to do was match it. Considering he would have been a commodity not a necessity, we didn’t get into a bidding war. Obviously

Moved Rawls to mutual interest section and added Qua Moss (for now ) back due to AP continuing to think he’s likely to visit despite KSU thinking he’s coming back.

That's not really the point. You asked for a example of any time we were rumored to spend big in the portal. There were indeed rumors (and not by message board randos) that we were willing to spend big Tate. Obviously it never materialized.

It’s not that everybody runs that play, it’s the situation we were in. No timeouts. CAN’T run the ball. We know it, they know it. We came out in our formation. They called timeout to go over possibilities. They knew our options from that formation and were all over it. How can it be a good play call if the opposing team knows exactly what you are doing?
Exactly. There’s no way anyone can argue in favor of that play call. Worst play call in JH’s time here. Nothing good or smart about it. Period . End of discussion.

lol no, i said when was there an example of someone who has legitimate ties or inside knowledge said were going to spend big in the portal. That hasn’t happened in the past. End scene

He's not an insider. People give him credit because they naively assumed he was the former player Jason Allen, and he ran with that.
Says who? He's brought plenty of "insider" info over the years that I've been here. It isn't like he's throwing a ton of crap against the wall to see what sticks. I mean he rarely posts anyways.

I've seen him be correct on quite a few things.
