I think they both assistants get replaced and again DW may have some good to better one set up to come. Or at least hope that’s the case. If she gets all the right pieces and she should or wouldn’t have took the job it’s going to be exciting to watch
Shouldn’t the HC get their own assistants?

as I am looking thru the portal for players that in theory would fit CKC scheme and system..

looking for length, as that will help with press defense she runs

then on offense looking for athleticism/quickness, and players that can shoot, or can slash/attack the basket, to open up the kickout passes for 3.

also need tall athletic big who can still rebound, but will definitely be more of a team rebounding approach due to offensive system.

Would they fit coach Caldwell system
Weimar fits Beers is not a pressing type. You should remember her Oregon St big girl scores around the basket. Petty would fit perfectly. One of my favorite inside players in the portal is Carter McCray even though she is just 6'1" tall. Our new coach should know her well she scored 25 points and had 21 rebounds against Marshall this season. She was just a freshman last year and put up 16 double doubles. I think she is a player that is going to be a really great addition for some team.

Only thing on McCray is when she was a high school senior.

Big strong girl that can score around the basket and run the floor.

Ajae Petty number 13 is another run the floor type center.

Beers number 15

A few names in the transfer portal, I would be interested in..

My criteria is very simple, variety of size/legnth, then athletic, and 3 point shooting, to fit Coach KC run and gun style. (Keeping Bama mens basketball, as a reference, due to slashing/attacking and lots of threes)

- JoJo Lacey, 6’1, G, Sr. (8.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg) -- Boston College
- Ruby Whitehorn, 5’11, G, Soph. (12.3 ppg, 5.6 rpg) -- Clemson
- Ja’Leah Williams, 5’9, G, Jr. (7.1 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.7 apg) -- Miami
- Liatu King, 6’0, G, Sr. (18.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg) -- Pitt
- Deedee Hagemann, 5’7, G, Jr. (12.3 ppg, 5.2 apg) -- Mich St ***** (on of my favorites, very athletic, slasher, attacks basket)
- Jaddan Simmons, 5’9, G, Sr. (9.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 3.4 apg) -- AZ St
- Kennedy Basham, 6’7, F, Soph. (4.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg) -- Oregon
- Talia von Oelhoffen, 5’11, G, Jr. (10.7 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 5 apg) -- Ore St.
- Taliah Scott, 5’9, G, Fr. (22.1 ppg) -- Arkansas
- Saylor Poffenbarger, 6’2, G, Soph. (10.2 ppg, 11.2 rpg) -- Arkansas
- Maddie Scherr, 5’11, G, Sr. (12.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.4 apg) -- KY
- Hailey van Lith, 5’7, G, Sr. (11.6 ppg, 3.6 apg) - LSU **** (dont expect it, she will likely end up at one of elite teams, but still would like to have her)
- Alyssa Latham, 6’2, F, Fr. (8.6 ppg, 7 rpg) -- Syracuse
- Malea Williams, 6’4, F, Sr. (8.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg) -- Cincy

There are so many players in the portal - I know I missed tons.. but watching clips of these girls I feel like they would fit our new system offensively and defensively.
Latham has narrowed her list and didn’t include Tennessee. She wanted to play at Tennessee coming out of high school, but her dad didn’t agree with them parting ways with Kellie

That woulld be Weimers style. No Beers is big body not run the floor type from Oregon St. The best center out there for her style is Ajae Petty.
Yeah, you’d need someone who can get up and down the floor before a quick three is taken. Although it doesn’t looking like outrebounding is a priority since they had less rebounds than their opponents on the year….
