It’s not going to be some immediate upgrade. Point blank. Anyone hoping that it will be only setting themselves up for disappointment. Just hope in 3 or 4 years we’ll see progress at this point.
She will not get 3-4 to show progress. LV's have NEVER missed the tournament. Miss it 2 straight years to start and she'll be FIRED!!

I hope she proves me wrong. Kellie never really did, so I hope her “amazing system” translates
Nothing translates to success without recruiting so that is her key to success. For next season she needs post players that can rebound and score some. Best offensive player she can find to join Jewell and Talaysia.

It’ll be interesting to see how many players she manages to bring in with no connections at this level

As of right now I do think it’s beneficial to try and retain Sam. She’s already behind in the portal window and has no real connections or in-roads to any of these D1 players. I know she’ll try to bring a player or two but the reality is the speed and physicality of SEC will be a whole other ball game. Same with her selection of assistants .
Idk new coach depends on relationships she may want totally new feel

I think some of our girls may really benefit from a new system and new start. I’m not gonna speculate too much. What is important is that Kim gets str8 into the gym with our team and watches film on them all. She’s got hella work to do the next few days.

If DW can manufacture a schedule with no top 15 teams (5 in each of the last couple of years ????) in the non-conference schedule, the LVs should get enough wins to get in the tournament. After that, who knows.

Needs to get rid of several players so she can’t upgrade to her style of offense if not she will be hampered. Most definitely needs 2 bigs # 1 gets

Need a winning record in conference or very close to make tge tournament. Here's hoping she does. After the second year, just making the tournament won't be enough. This university expects F4 and Championships . Anything less and you life span here will be short.

A few names in the transfer portal, I would be interested in..

My criteria is very simple, variety of size/legnth, then athletic, and 3 point shooting, to fit Coach KC run and gun style. (Keeping Bama mens basketball, as a reference, due to slashing/attacking and lots of threes)

- JoJo Lacey, 6’1, G, Sr. (8.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg) -- Boston College
- Ruby Whitehorn, 5’11, G, Soph. (12.3 ppg, 5.6 rpg) -- Clemson
- Ja’Leah Williams, 5’9, G, Jr. (7.1 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.7 apg) -- Miami
- Liatu King, 6’0, G, Sr. (18.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg) -- Pitt
- Deedee Hagemann, 5’7, G, Jr. (12.3 ppg, 5.2 apg) -- Mich St ***** (on of my favorites, very athletic, slasher, attacks basket)
- Jaddan Simmons, 5’9, G, Sr. (9.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 3.4 apg) -- AZ St
- Kennedy Basham, 6’7, F, Soph. (4.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg) -- Oregon
- Talia von Oelhoffen, 5’11, G, Jr. (10.7 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 5 apg) -- Ore St.
- Taliah Scott, 5’9, G, Fr. (22.1 ppg) -- Arkansas
- Saylor Poffenbarger, 6’2, G, Soph. (10.2 ppg, 11.2 rpg) -- Arkansas
- Maddie Scherr, 5’11, G, Sr. (12.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.4 apg) -- KY
- Hailey van Lith, 5’7, G, Sr. (11.6 ppg, 3.6 apg) - LSU **** (dont expect it, she will likely end up at one of elite teams, but still would like to have her)
- Alyssa Latham, 6’2, F, Fr. (8.6 ppg, 7 rpg) -- Syracuse
- Malea Williams, 6’4, F, Sr. (8.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg) -- Cincy

There are so many players in the portal - I know I missed tons.. but watching clips of these girls I feel like they would fit our new system offensively and defensively.

Nyayongah Gony from MSST is another interesting option. Super athletic and long 6'4 forward. Somewhat raw, but if they need athletes who can get up and down the court and finish at the rim, she should be high on their list.
