2024 Transfer Portal Thread

I don’t really get the agent hate. His job is to maximize Chaz’s earning potential and brand development, but it’s ultimately up to Chaz to decide what opportunities are best for him. It seems like that’s exactly what happened here. If he’d been steered to BYU, sure the agent is scum. But he ultimately ended up at UT, his agent just got him a little more money to do so. Seems like everyone wins here.
Also, for the record, I think his agents are used to the professional sports thinking and the NIL/college is on a learning curve.

Hoping we have some summer overseas dates this year, like Italy last summer. Would be outstanding to get an early peak at this team. 🏀🧡🍊
Unless the rules have changed since last year we can’t. Those foreign preseason trips are only permitted once every 4 years.

It is time for the NCAA to allow teams three to four summer exhibition games every year. It seems like every team in NCAA basketball is having so much movement each year that having these summer games would help with building chemistry and would improve the product at the start of the season.

That would make so much since that there is no way that the NCAA would change that rule. Unless, it was their idea. Anyone have a connection with an NCAA higher up? If so, drop the idea.

I don’t think I’ve seen these posted here, but I got them off Twitter. Just in case anyone is interested.

Glad to see most of these guys like driving to the basket. Hopefully we see a ton of attacking this year.

The percentages for Igor and Dubar on corner threes are crazy. I also suspect like you said next years team should be much more efficient at dunks and layups. Seeing what Mavs have going with Lively/Gafford I hope Felix can be that much of a lob/dunk threat.

I can’t believe Dubar got 403 shots up last year lol

What are we thinking Dubar will average in points per game just judging him from film? Guy put up a lot of shots and was incredibly efficient against somewhat decent competition

Appreciate that. Alot of efficiency in those charts lol. Seems like Lanier's jumpshot needs some work correct? If I'm not mistaken that was the major thing Knecht needed help with and Barnes improved him dramatically in that area. Chaz could be really special

No it was DK’s defense that needed some work.

Basically, his midrange game is not his bread ‘n butter. I’m great with him heading into the lane and finishing or shooting 3’s. Undoubtedly his shot needs some work, but bet they won’t mess with it too much, not with his numbers like they already are.

Dangggggg BYU about to get a studdddd.

Illinois just got a really good one.

I hope we are active with some of the ANGT kids

Hmmm looks like the same jumpshot to me

Unrelated, but still crazy to me how nicely DK's all around game translated from Northern Colorado to the P5 level.

A lot of it had to do with his work ethic to make his offensive game practically unguardable, but there are clear similarities of his game from Northern Colorado that didn't change much once he got to TN.

Demin just committed to BYU.
Jakucionis is committed to Illinois. You said BYU, but earlier said Illinois, so I assume that was a typo on BYU.
In my opinion, Demin is perhaps the most talented addition any team has added this year behind perhaps Cooper Flagg and the two Rutgers kids. Albeit only one game, he was impressive in the one game I saw him play against professionals in their 20's and 30's, including some NBA players. I thought he stood out. It will be interesting to see if his talents translate to the college game at BYU as they did on the European pro leagues.
