If you’ve got one player and they shoot +3 for the round, that’s your only qualifying score. Or say both of your players bogey 4, 7, 13, and 16 and only make two separate birdies between them, you’re still shooting +2 for the day

IMG_3023.jpegIf one of the players circled in blue is your only remaining player, the red circled score would be your number today. So someone going into today at -10 but only has Fitzpatrick left would enter tomorrow at only -1

Great explanation. I'd like to see more courses made more difficult for the PGA tour. Might ruin the course for locals though.

Please no. I’m fine with making courses tougher like Jack had them do with memorial last week. A setup that rewards good shots and punishes bad shots. But if a good shot can still roll 30 yards off the green into nastiness, I’m just not interested

It does, and it should anyone that appreciates good golf imo. I’d rather them go up the road from Pinehurst and play Tobacco Road. You can’t just bomb it off the tee and hit wedges in there. There’s some holes there I’d tee off with an iron and then have a 3 wood or hybrid for my second shot. Make it challenging, just don’t make it unnecessarily penalizing just for cruelty sake
