All ten of these ladies have scholarship offers !
Shade and Scott have already visited on their own dime ! Since there are ten ( Obviously) good players in the top 26 for the year 2023 …. It wound nice to get one or more of these players but none of them should be classified as a must ? JMO

Going after the best....

I don't buy the whole "you've got to sign the best players in your state" theory. UConn has no one from CT on their roster. Notre Dame has one from Indiana. The hearts of players aren't automatically bigger just because they play for a school in their home state. I want Kellie to sign the players she can win with and players that will be great teammates so team chemistry will be strong. If that player is from Tennessee....great. If not, oh well....

How many of them are from TN, with a parent who played basketball at Tennessee?

Then you probably haven't seen Allen play...

Pat had a child but could he play basketball? Was he worthy of a scholarship? I don’t think who the parents are or where they played sports means their children should get scholarships? Because they live in the state qualifies as a criteria for scholarship offers ?
I just don’t see your rationale for scholarship offers ? Granted the young lady is talented and has a scholarship offer! But with NINE OTHER PLAYERS RATED AHEAD OF HER AND ALL OF THEM HAVE SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERS ..,.. THIS QUALIFIES AS NOT BEING A MUST ! Obviously our coaches believe there are at least nine other recruits that deserve to play Tennessee or they wouldn’t have offered them a scholarship! Just Saying

If you think in-state recruiting wasn't important to Pat, it just further shows how utterly clueless you are...
What's your end game? It appears that nothing will please you as it relates to the Lady Vols. It seems as though every time something is done to show that we are heading in the right direction you always find a way to add something negative to the conversation? Are you really a fan?

Before you call someone clueless, maybe you should look at the rosters of championship teams Pat fielded. Anyone can be a baboon and call people names, but it takes a special one to be able to read.

Where is the negative? I said Allen was a must-get, and the usual suspects lose their minds. Unless you've already conceded she isn't coming, which I haven't (based on her visit), how is that a negative?

Ok I’ll play ….. was the must players named Hayes , Middleton , Massengille ,I have seen a few of the Tennessee players ! Why don’t you show us a list of all of pat’s Tennessee players that were must get players ? I’ll get you started with Gloria …. Your turn !

Maybe you should follow your own advice. EVERY championship team had TennesseanS (plural) on the roster.

Not saying Pat didn't recruit nationally, obviously she did. But if you think in-state recruiting wasn't important to her then I'm afraid, yes, you are clueless...

I never said in-state recruiting was not important to her....you made that accusation. People can read what I said and what you said. You are so stupid you think people are going to buy your BS?

BTW, and I was talking about regular players and not bench warmers. Pat always had some local players on her teams but I can't remember any/many that were stars.

Warlick? Sexton? Frost? Melissa McCray? Nikki McCray? Caldwell? Latina Davis? Brittany Jackson? Fuller? Kumiko Williams? Glory Johnson? Harrison?

Or how about our current head coach? These were "bench warmers?"

I was wrong, you clearly know your Lady Vol history...

I wasn't, you are clearly grasping for air. How many players have gone through the program in the last 50 years and you name 12. Harrison was from Kentucky...any real fan would know that.

And you are clearly backpedaling. Pat coached 38 years, not 50, and I named a handful off the top of my head.

Harrison was from Kentucky...any real fan would know that.

LISA Harrison is from Kentucky. Isabelle Harrison (pretty decent player as I recall) is from Tennessee. Any real fan would know that...

Harrison was from Nashville, right?

The negative is you go from one thing to the next. One minute it's we have to land Top 10's we start going after top 10s and now its we must have the local talent. Its like nothing Kellie does (or the lady vols for that matter) satisfy you.
